Description:

The Senior Director of Category Communications, Nike Women's will lead, create and drive communication efforts supporting the Nike Women's business. A successful candidate must think innovatively with the ability to expand the boundaries of traditional communication. This position will play a critical role in building and developing long-term global strategies to support strategic business and brand objectives.

The candidate must be capable of defining, communicating and influencing in a compelling way to drive work in the communications portfolio. Extensive experience in developing communications strategies and creating key messaging required. You'll be connected to conversations happening around the globe and influence key stakeholders with your knowledge of fashion & culture trends by identifying emerging opportunities.

This role will be responsible for the following:
  • Create a vision and drive key deliverables that create distinction and enhance the brand's reputation i n partnership with the business.
  • Build a best in class, diverse, innovative and sport obsessed global team .
  • Define a strong narrative to support the Nike Women's growth agenda, including developing and defining brand positioning and messaging.
  • Drive innovation through an integrated global strategy in partnership with key internal stakeholders.
  • Create unique experiences and build new storytelling platforms that help Nike reach new audiences, expanding brand awareness while growing the Women's business.
  • Collaborate with other categories to lead, redefine, cultivate and develop expressions of sport and style for our female consumer that permeate culture in new and inventive ways.
  • Leverage expertise to influence strategic messaging, positioning, brand building and issues management of Nike Women's.


  • 15+ years professional experience in high profile corporate communications or product communications or public relations roles supporting global organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage, influence and create new ideas in a fast-changing environment.
  • Experience working directly with media, initiating and driving media relations strategies & experiences.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of evolving communications environment and digital landscape, including an appreciation of global key city influences
  • Experience in agency management.
  • Experience leading a diverse team.
  • Passion for innovation, growth and purpose.
