We have an exciting opportunity to be a part of Nike's Memphis HR Team as an integral part of the North America HR team strategy. The Memphis team operates in a dynamic environment that celebrates people, community, innovation and diversity. We are passionate about delivering HR support that enables our rapidly growing team to reach its fullest potential.  As the Sr. HR Director for the Memphis Network, you will provide strategic HR leadership by defining and driving the strategic people agenda for continuous transformation, including a new industry leading omnichannel facility used to test & pilot new ways of meeting & exceeding our consumers' expectations. In our rapidly changing environment, you will help us raise the standard on Nike's end-to-end value chain expertise by working in close partnership with internal innovation leaders; providing HR leadership, consulting and expertise. You will exhibit initiative wide thinking to proactively understand functional areas and how they interact/overlap with other areas of the business and operation. You will align Nike's people strategies with business strategies and successfully implement critical people initiatives in an exciting, complex and rapidly growing business environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Influence the design, development, prioritization, and integration of value-added HR initiatives as it relates to the North America Logistics and Supply Chain organization  
  • Partner with VP of Fulfillment to develop and grow effectiveness of the leadership team, team relationships, growth of leaders
  • Provide leadership, consultation and training for HR team and individual HR career development.  Provide strategic direction to the HR team.
  • Provide thought leadership, coaching, influencing on issues related to org/function/team culture and values to attract, retain, and motivate a dynamic and healthy leadership team (e.g. diversity, leading change, promoting development, and work life balance)
  • Identify and maintain the pulse of morale and engagement gaps at the leadership level.  Improve upon efforts to create a One Memphis/One Nike environment and culture.
  • Coach and advise leaders through change, performance, and relationship management
  • Advise leaders on learning and organizational development, program implementation such as ensuring robust talent development plans, onboarding and succession
  • Work within HR and HR COEs to give feedback on strategies and programs to more effectively meet and align with the needs Fulfillment and Logistics
  • Work with stakeholder/s on labor strategy development and workforce planning, including position control/review; aligning with budget, resourcing processes, etc.
  • Engage in high-profile, highly sensitive and/or complex employee relations matters. Provides insights to Leadership regarding trends and issues
  • Drive the people strategy, organizational design, leadership development, and process of change and transformation that will build stronger organizational capability
  • Advise leaders on the implications of short and long-term decisions on people, strategies, and large-scale change efforts
  • Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions and job re-leveling.  Influence changes or modifications where WHQ practices need translating or adjustments for the Memphis market.   


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Organizational Development or related discipline required
  • Master's degree a plus
  • 15+ years of Human Resources experience and 5+ years of leadership/management. 
  • 10+ years of successful business partnership at a Senior level, with proven success in linking HR strategies to the business, supporting multiple senior leaders in areas such as performance management and change and transition management.
  • Thorough working knowledge of the full spectrum of human resource management including talent development, org design, employee relations, change management.
  • Work in high collaboration environment across operations and business teams, as well as HR
  • Work effectively in a highly changing and dynamic environment, demonstrating ability to learn and adjust quickly, and bring others along when designing or implementing new ideas
  • Ability to effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex business issues & influence leaders in a highly matrixed & geographically dispersed environment.
