Description

As our Senior Material Designer in Running you will elevate the product experience with a focus on the art and science of material design. You will work with the Material Design Director to create and drive a design vision across all Running footwear silos, developing seasonal and long-term creative strategies to ensure that products inspire key consumers and lead our business forward. You will also establish and maintain partnerships with the cross-functional category team to successfully bring material concepts to reality on select footwear silos and products. Additionally, you will bring innovation into the category through strategy and partnership with the advanced concept groups to increase efficiencies and ensure design excellence. You'll contribute technical and consumer expertise to lead and inspire the design team through your participation in all key Running brand initiatives including new innovation, sustainability, and performance concepts.  


Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Design or related field 8 years related design experience Comprehensive understanding of footwear product and materials manufacturing Exceptional ability to apply and perform design skills including: 2D and 3D concept ideation, materials concept ideation through making, and visual presentation Excellent verbal and written communication skills in local market language, including meeting facilitation and presentations Ability to effectively communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience Demonstrated leadership capability, including ability to inspire, involve and mentor others within work group Ability to lead design initiatives and project teams, to conceive and create new ideas, generate consensus, and work cooperatively
