Description

As NIKE's Sr. Risk Finance Analyst you will be filling a key role on the Global Risk Finance & Claims team.  The primary purpose of this position is to provide in-depth knowledge and experience in leading, coordinating, and executing NIKE's global risk finance (insurance) programs. Renewing NIKE, Inc.'s global insurance program is a significant undertaking requiring an aligned team effort coordinating communication and analyzing details.  You will lead the risk exposure information gathering and aggregation from all parts of the NIKE matrix across the globe.

In addition, you will apply best practices and knowledge of internal and external risk financing issues to improve and evolve NIKEs global risk financing programs.  This includes working independently to solve complex issues involving global risk finance service providers, insurance companies, risk consultants, insurance brokers, NIKE global finance teams (accounting, tax, etc.), etc. Responsibilities include policy management, risk management information system data, insurance allocation, invoicing, and certificates of insurance.

As NIKE's Sr. Risk Finance Analyst you will be accountable for driving and delivering results within the following key areas.

Risk Finance:
  • Lead the renewal process planning and gathering of global exposure data
  • Prepare high quality submissions and obtain options for competitive risk financing options
  • Coordinate, plan and execute underwriter meetings in support of renewals
  • Make recommendations to management regarding procurement of insurance programs.  Manage individual insurance program implementations
  • Participate in annual renewal strategy planning discussions
  • Provide timely reviews of binders, policies, and summaries of insurance to ensure contract certainty.  Work with brokers to update these insurance documents as needed
  • Leverage Nike's Risk Management Information System (RMIS) to organize and track relevant information
  • Provide input and recommendations on RMIS enhancements
  • Certificates of Insurance (COI) - Support Nike Stakeholders proof of insurance request.  Negotiate resolution for those requests outside of NIKE COI standards as needed
  • Invoice management - Manage, monitor &/or track the timely payment of both US and non-US insurance invoices; and, assure proper invoice approvals adhere to the NIKE Corporate Global Spend Authorization policy and payment processes
  • Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) - Monitor IPT compliance and support IPT audits
  • Manage the Risk Finance allocation and update methodology as needed
  • Risk Finance Network - Monitor and communicate with the continually changing Nike Risk Finance network of contacts in over 50 countries.
  • Document and update risk financing processes and procedures as identified
  • Design and implement standard reporting and benchmarking of global risk finance programs

  • Promote and maintain effective relationships and networks with stakeholders, customers, external peers, organizations, and business partners
  • Support Global Risk Finance & Claims/Treasury and Nike Global Finance strategic imperatives and priority initiatives
  • Provide input to strategic planning and visioning
  • Work independently and cooperatively in a diverse groups
  • Network and utilize internal and external resources effectively
  • Utilize strong information seeking skills and drive to make things happen

Qualifications
  • Intermediate to advanced professional knowledge of the global commercial insurance industry (i.e., Property and Casualty lines of coverage, Executive Risk (D&O, EPL, etc.), Aviation & Marine, Employee Benefits, and/or Captive Insurance operations) 
  • Bachelor's Degree in insurance, risk management, mathmetics, accounting, finance, business administration, or related field. CPCU, ARM, AIC or similar risk or claims management certifications a plus
  • Minimum Experience:  5+ years in risk management, risk finance (insurance), actuarial sciences, risk control program management, or related field.  Fortune 500 company with multinational experience a plus
  • Proficent with Microsoft software business applications including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Experience working across cultures &/or countries
