The Sr. Transportation Business Analyst (TMS/WMS) is a technical and subject matter authority supporting Nike's Domestic Transportation Team. This role will have system responsibility for day-to-day support and administration of our Transportation Management System (TMS). The Sr. Transportation Business Analyst (TMS/WMS) will utilize previous transportation industry and system standards to maintain the current systems, liaise with IT teams, support Transportation operations and/or other Supply Chain initiatives. Additionally, the Sr. Transportation Business Analyst (TMS/WMS) will optimize the transportation network by maintaining/developing delivery schedules/routing guides, performing data analysis, and recommending new capabilities/modes/flows/strategies in partnership with LSP Management and Transportation Strategy.

This role will also be responsible for researching and resolving issues to ensure data integrity, analyze and track SAP supply chain activities related to non-carrier related Data Management issues. This role will operate as the first point of escalation for data or process issues resolution. The Sr. Transportation Business Analyst (TMS/WMS) will ensure all processes/procedures of Inbound Supply Chain Operations Data Management are followed resulting in timely resolution of data issues, while minimizing costs and maximizing data integrity to ensure a smooth flow of product to Memphis' Distribution Centers. The Sr. Transportation Business Analyst (TMS/WMS) will proactively figure out the impact to business product flow and revenue recognition and escalate to Management as necessary.

Responsibilities:
  • Acts as a Transportation Management Systems (TMS) Super User to recommend design and configuration enhancements to improve functionality and optimize performance in TMS and other logistics systems
  • Conduct data mining and data analysis to identify trends, opportunities and provide actionable summaries of key findings on a consistent and proactive basis. Assist in defining, measuring and communicating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Develop and maintain best practices for TMS usage to meet business needs
  • Review and report on TMS SLA's compliance issues and escalate to Management as necessary
  • Assist with TMS and other logistics systems solution design and requirements gathering and implementation
  • Identify & research daily and cumulative SAP data errors for all USA inbound product.
  • Develop ad hoc reports and coordinate meetings to address issues related to data management.
  • Perform TMS and other logistics systems solution testing, configurations, and user training to meet business requirements
  • Provide functional user admin support and identify system and process risks and opportunities
  • Provide ad hoc financial and operational reporting from TMS
  • Identify and formalize leading and lagging indicators, aligning strategic goals with objectives, targets, and metrics
  • Handle all carrier IT related issues with WMS, SAP for Memphis' DCs (e.g. server upgrades, system outages)
  • Day-to-day TMS compliance and maintenance (monitor and provide feedback to carriers on EDI compliance, setup new carriers and vendors, rates, etc.)
  • Ensure inbound ASNs are available for Memphis DCs to receive in inventory; escalated carrier ASN issues to LSP Management


WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO NIKE:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology or related discipline
  • 5+ years of Transportation and/or Logistics experience
    • 2 additional years of experience required in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting carrier rates, contracts and tariffs and have experience in the use of distribution strategies such as cross-docking, retail pool and zone skipping
  • Demonstrated knowledge & ability to identify, research and report on process or systems issues which impact ability to handle data
  • Travel, 10%

Preferred:
  • MBA or Master's degree in Computer Information Systems or related discipline
  • 2+ years of systems support experience
  • 3+ years of Transportation Management System and SAP
  • 2+ years of experience performing data analysis using various tools such as Excel, Access, Tableau or Alteryx
  • 1+ year of project management experience with an understanding of project management tools and methodologies
  • Experience with data modeling & business process utilizing studio business architect
  • Proficiency with Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Alteryx, Tableau and B usiness Intelligence tools (Cognos, Business Object)
