To help achieve these goals, Nike's Environments Team within the Workplace Design and Connectivity (WD+C) function, is leading the transformation of branded built environments informed by real estate opportunities, physical place making, employee experience, brand storytelling and integrated services serving the employee.

The WD+C Americas team will leverage systems and design thinking, and key partnerships across the Nike matrix and the industry to bring Nike to the forefront of new ways of working. WD+C will serve as an enterprise catalyst under the COO, helping to drive change, strengthen its global operations and accelerate progress toward Nike's strategic objectives.

Our Environments Architecture and Interior Design team are idea-makers, storytellers and builders who bring inspiration to life through design. They inspire and lead with a creative curiosity to drive how we experience Nike's built environments and influence branded experiences. They direct and lead the overall design execution of an integrated project delivery. They are design fundamentalists who approach projects with rational and innovative mindsets that extend strategic design specific frameworks that inform business opportunities without losing sight of why, how and what Nike aspires to look, feel and communicate through its immersive experiences.

As a Senior Workplace Designer you will support the Workplace Design Director and work across multiple work streams in geographic and global capacities to help define internal and external processes, collaborate with strategic partners, and lead project-specific design with external AE partners.

The job will be based out of WHQ in Beaverton, Oregon, with approximately 15% travel required.

KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Define project-level design vision and employee experience journey, aligned with GEO Creative Direction + Employee Experience Guidelines

- Responsible for identifying, selecting and leading external design partners from project initiation through completion

- Provide design oversight and recommendations within the GEO over WD+C Americas Standards, including architectural performance, furniture/finishes/equipment, and branding

- While leading the workplace experience, collaborate with broader cross-functional delivery team to balance needs of Real Estate, Program Management, Integrated Workplace Services, Security, Technology and Brand Design, among others, to execute holistic strategy for projects

- Manage execution of multiple projects running in parallel

- Direct report to the Americas Environments Design Director; inform and provide real time updates on projects

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE

- Advanced industry knowledge of end-to-end design and construction project delivery across all phases (due-diligence, concept, SD / DD / CD, construction, handover, etc.); understanding of industry best-practices, construction means and methods, procurement process

- Strong design background (demonstrated through a portfolio), with knowledge of current trends, innovative materials, furniture, etc. Passion for current design topics including sustainability, health & well-being, and future of workplace

- Demonstrated experience working on multi-disciplinary, fast-paced design projects in an ambigiuous and changing creative environment

- Ability to manage design partners on Nike's behalf; comfortable directing external partners with clear and organized communication; comfortable elevating strategic concerns to senior management in a timely manner; ability to create clarity of direction and action for designers

- Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines, groups, and geographies

- Proven ability to gain buy-in for complex and integrated programs while being a creative visionary for fully immersive environments and experiences via:

- Strong oral and written communications skills, including meeting facilitation and ability to make persuasive presentations to senior management

- Exceptional presenation skills, including content creation for senior-level presentations

- Strong storytelling capabilities: providing appropriate business, design, consumer and cultural context that lie behind the design

- Strong ability to synthesize ambigious competing direction and come up with recommendation for how to proceed

- Passion and understanding of Nike culture and heritage

SPECIFIC WORK EXPERIENCE

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Architecture, with industry knowledge related to Workplace Design and Strategy, and Tenant Interior Work

- Experience ith Environmental Graphic Design, Branded Environments and Experience Design a plus

- Minimum 2-3 years experience in design project management in a large multi-stakeholder organization

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Sketch-Up, Keynote, AutoCad, Revit
