The NIKE, Inc. Communications team develops, establishes and strengthens authentic connections with diverse audiences through the lens of innovation and sport. The team creates premium and innovative brand stories, builds and enhances corporate reputation and brand equity, and engages audiences such as consumers, media, athletes, investors, non-governmental organizations and Nike's own employees. The team focuses on information, inspiration and connection to accelerate the growth of NIKE, Inc. The role of the Communications function at Nike is to establish and strengthen authentic connections with audiences around the globe, through the lens of innovation and sport. We focus on premium brand stories related to our products, categories and athletes; we manage corporate reputation and brand equity; and we engage, inspire and motivate internal and external communities.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking an experienced Technology Communications Manager who can help manage and execute our technology communications strategy.

The focus of the Technology Communications Manager role is to elevate the technology narrative, engage and inspire Global Technology employees, amplify Global Technology messages and create communications strategies and execution for key technology initiatives.

The Technology Communications Manager role will require employee communications, content creation, and ownership for employee engagement experiences for the Global Technology group with the ability to influence and build relationships across the business.

The role will also support external engagement plans that reinforce Nike's brand as a product and digital innovation company and its consumer direct offense, focused on technology. The Global Technology team is responsible for the engineering development of Nike's app portfolio (NTC, NRC, SNKRS) and ecommerce platform, as well as all enterprise technologies and platforms responsible for Nike's digital transformation.

Above all, this candidate will need a passion for technology, sports, and the Swoosh.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON:

Responsibilities will include:
  • Implement integrated communication strategies, messaging and tactics to amplify the Global Technology narrative internally and externally and engage, inspire and inform employees
  • Develop creative solutions that take our internal storytelling into new places, experiences and engage the Global Technology team, Nike, Inc. employees, and prospective candidates
  • Drive employee enablement communication in support of Technology Operations initiatives to help employees use the power of technology to do their best work
  • Provide end-to-end support for internal meetings and event logistics and planning, which can include content creation, scripting and pre- and post-event communications
  • Manage and execute content creation across print, video and digital platforms
  • Coordinate communications timelines and deliverables
  • Measure communications effectiveness through qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Build credible relationships with team members and business stakeholders


WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH:

You will collaborate with the broader Global Operations and Technology communications team, as well as Global Employee Communications and key internal partners and stakeholders.

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE:

Minimum Requirements:
  • 5+ years professional experience in marketing, corporate or brand communications roles supporting globally branded organizations
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, PR, English, communications, marketing, business, or related field required
    • 2 additional years experience in lieu of a degree
  • Proven ability to communicate plans across a complex matrix on a corporate, regional and functional basis
  • Experience initiating and driving the ideation process contributing meaningful, innovative strategies to the business
  • Successful experience in working effectively with key stakeholders and a proven ability to provide guidance and direction to peers
  • Experience leading employee events
  • Deep understanding of employee communications trends, channels and digital landscape with a digital-first mindset
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Project Management experience in developing and executing project workbacks, timelines and budgets
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email management tools and content management systems


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of footwear or apparel industry
  • Experience working on high-profile technology brands
  • Experience communicating to and working with cross-company teams
