Description

As the Asia Pacfic Director for Converse Technology, your responsibilities will be largely focused on the following:

  • Provide Technology solutions and strategic partnership to enable all business Functions end to end to enable Converse's growth as a digital brand.

    • Provide Technology thought leadership to Business to enable the APAC geo (Digitization, Data & Analytics, automation, innovation, etc)

    • Ensure seamless day to day support in place to enable the Business to meet goals

    • Deploy and leverage Global investments and solutions - Create the Future of Converse

    • Enable APAC specific systematic needs (projects, enhancements) to address geo specific challenges and opportunities.

  • Partner on delivery of Converse Global Technology

    • Partner and align on Technology strategy/vision, projects, and support

    • Provide the APAC voice into Global Planning, Portfolio priorities, and Future technology needs

    • Leverage resources to support APAC specific needs - enhancements, projects, service Management, Security, etc.

    • Take advantage of opportunities to incubate locally, deploy Globally

  • Partner and leverage Nike Tech Greater China

    • Leverage support for day to day operations (i.e. Tech Ops)

    • Align on respective strategies and leverage accordingly

    • Leverage efforts within the Geo (i.e. Automation)

    • Align on Geo impacted efforts

    • Leverage local resources accordingly (i.e. SAP, BI)

This role will report to the Converse Global Technology Senior Director and will manage a direct team of 10 - 15 resources.

Specific key responsibilities:

• Provide subject matter expertise, industry knowledge and team leadership for Technology function. 
• Drive APAC Technology strategies and execution across all capabilities and ensure alignment to Converse Global Tech
• Drive a balanced approach to near-team goals (Win Now) while relentlessly focusing on longer term strategies (Creating the Future). 
• Engage APAC business stakeholders and partners to influence and drive best practices and innovative improvements to platforms, systems and processes.
• Effectively manage priorities across multiple products, technical teams, and business stakeholders. Leverage strong meeting and workshop facilitation skills, and conflict resolution.

• Provide strong communication rigor to all functions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required; Master's degree a plus
• Minimum of 7+ years' work experience in a technology related field
• Leadership, and people management skills. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Must be able to interact effectively across functions and cultures. 
• Ability to influence unpopular decisions while maintaining strong working relationships. 
• Ability to critically analyze information & systems, creative problem solving skills & strategically plan complex organizational & functional interactions. Ability to manage multiple and changing processes and priorities.
• Coordinate multiple and conflicting demands. Ability to meet deadlines. Organized and detail-oriented. Ability to work with ambiguity and try new solutions to existing or new problems. 
• Practical experience leading new system design and implementation efforts. Must have the ability to understand, design, & coordinate the implementation of new processes and systems.
