The Territory Brand Manager in France is a leadership role, responsible for driving a comprehensive vision for brand excellence and consumer demand, leading and creating brand impact for Converse as an authentic street-style brand, serving cultural gamechangers.

The role requires the ability to extend Global & European strategic direction with a focus on Paris and digital marketing, defining and driving the delivery of consumer growth opportunities ensuring the strategy is grounded in clear insights and robust commercial planning.

The role will engage, collaborate and partner with all W.Europe marketing functional leaders; the local Marketing team, as well as external agencies. This role is key to providing overall coordination between functions to ensure seamless planning and execution

The role reports to the FR Marketing Director (currently on a stretch from SE) and will be her pointperson to manage a focused x-functional marketing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Management:
• Work with the Converse W.Europe leadership team and FR Marketing Director to develop, apply, and oversee marketing plans to deliver business growth in line with budgets and performance targets in France.
• Propose and ensure execution of policies, programs and processes to achieve revenue targets and strong brand positioning.
• Contribute to sales planning and decision-making, ensuring strong leadership during sales meetings.
• Lead local major initiative meetings and ensure a clear information flow
Strategic Planning:
• Develop, manage and execute a strong strategy by consumer type.
• Lead the creation of a territory Concept map and budget allocated by function and by category
• Achieve budgeted business revenues
• Prioritize and focus strategies against the most defining Brand and Business opportunities
• Lead an intergrated planning processes between marketing and x- functional partners

Brand Management / Marketing Excellence
• Work with Converse W.Europe Marketing and FR Marketing Director to create seasonal marketing plans, ensuring that global & regional initiatives are extended locally & executed with excellence.
• Lead planning and execution of all territory based initiatives
• Work with the French marketing team to be creative in how to invest resources in order to differentiate the brand with consumers and drive a correct mix of DC budget to create impact and maximize sell out.
• Spend appropriately -work closely with the W.Europe brand managemernt team to track seasonal spend, account for any over/under-spend & ensure we hit yearly forecasting totals
• Deliver results - monitor product performance in the region & work cross-functionally to consolidate reporting, insights & optimisation for key brand stories

Consumer Connection

• Be the voice of the consumer for France within the W.Europe offense translating trends and observations into opportunities for the brand
• Drive process to have a permanent consumer immersion to understand target needs, wants, attitudes and behaviors
• Stay connected in Paris across consumer & competitor activity
• Track brand health in the BSM to become #1 Preferred brand for our consumers

Intergrated Marketplace and Account Initiatives

• Create marketplace impact identifying fewer, better accounts and destinations in Paris to elevate the Converse brand
• Lead successful marketing plans with key accounts to win focus consumer zones.
• Drive a solid Retail / Trade Marketing Plans with our Strategic partners.
• Visit Retail frequently to track execution of initiatives and leverage learnings for future actions
• Connect seasonally with key accounts to ensure learnings and opportunities are understood and communicated up to the W.Europe & Global Marketing teams.

Technical:
• 3-5 years working in Marketing
• 2+ years in managerial position
• Experience working within youth culture and fashion or street style
• Knowledge of brand or marketing management and business analysis tools
• Project development process knowledge and Partners management
• Understands the competitive market and know how to deal with different POV from customers
• Understands complex business issues and finds creative ways to solve problems, and make sound decisions for the benefit of the Converse brand
• Strong Keynote & presentation building skills

Communication/Language:
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills within the team and with partners, able to facilitate and lead intergrated meetings
• International experience preferred and / or strong english speaking skills
• Must be able to develop and maintain fair and honest relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
• Must have a proven ability to persuade and influence people to take desired action
• Must be able to communicate effectively with clear, concise written messages through memos, e-mails and reports.
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm towards the job.

Management/Leadership:
• Proven ability to prioritize workloads
• Proven ability to negotiate
• Proven ability to influence decision makers
• Proven ability to ensure that great ideas get translated into flawless execution.

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or related field
