About the Total Rewards Operations team

The Total Rewards Operations team manages the day to day operations of Nike's Compensation and Benefits programs across the Asia Pacific region. We put our employees at the center of everything we do.




About the role

At Nike we see our Operations function as a source of competitive advantage.  As our Total Rewards Operations Manager for Asia Pacific, you'll report to the Total Rewards Operations Director, Asia. You'll lead a team whose primary accountability will be to effectively manage the day to day operations of Nike's compensation and benefits programs as well as cyclical compensation and benefits events for the region. 

In this role you'll have to develop a strong understanding of our Total Rewards programs and practices. You'll need to bring your expertise in compensation and benefits administration, focus on delivering exceptional employee experience, and a natural curiosity to explore and solve problems that haven't been addressed before. To be effective you'll possess a high degree of comfort with ambiguity, an ability to simplify the complex and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. As a people manager your ability to set a vision and prioritize deliverables across a complex body of work will be extremely important. This role will require some travel to Nike Headquarters in Portland, Oregon and/or Shanghai, China.




Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of subject matter experts and determine priorities for the team that align with overall business objectives
  • Monitor effectiveness of existing global Total Rewards policies, guidelines, and processes; provide recommendations for evolution
  • Implement operational roadmap for regional and global compensation and benefits programs and processes; working with program design COE, vendors and other key stakeholders
  • Oversee aspects of annual compensation planning and open enrollment events including system and process readiness and execution
  • Monitor vendor effectiveness and actively manage partners to maintain high satisfaction for Nike and employees
  • Partnering with TR Operations Director, Asia, provide thought leadership and direction on compensation and benefits program administration for Asia Pacific and partner with program design team and peers on implementation and ongoing management of new Total Rewards programs
  • Manage program governance, key performance indicators and service level agreements to ensure effective ongoing program administration
  • Stay current on compensation and benefits related legislation to ensure compliance with applicable requirements


  • Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

    • 5-7 years of increasing responsibility and experience in global compensation and/or benefits operations and/or program design

    • 3+ years in management, leading a team of subject matter experts

    • Goal-oriented with ability to prioritize on a consistent basis in an evolving work environment

    • Proven ability to build cross-functional relationships and partner with peers to deliver solutions that are aligned to strategy, support business objectives, and meet all legal requirements

    • Demonstrated team leadership, partnership, influencing and communication experience

    • Advanced knowledge and experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (experience with SAP/SuccessFactors is a plus)

    • Language requirement (e.g. Fluency in English required.)
