Supply Chain

The Nike, Inc. Supply Chain team is the engine that propels product around the world. Supply Chain experts ensure that every year, almost a billion units of footwear, apparel and equipment arrive at the right place, at the right time. To ensure this complex job goes off without a hitch, Supply Chain teams work with a network of more than 50 distribution centers, thousands of accountants, and more than 100,000 retail stores worldwide - making the impossible happen every single day.
Description

Nike Supply Chain experts ensure that every year 900 million pieces of footwear, apparel and equipment arrive at the right destination on time. That's no easy task. The complex process involves more than 50 distribution centers, a network of thousands of accounts, and more than 100,000 retail stores around the world. Supply Chain professionals from Laakdal, Belgium, to São Paulo, Brasil, make it happen. They constantly push for ways to make Nike's supply chain faster, more efficient and more responsive to Nike's always-changing consumer needs.

Description
As our Transition Manager, you will contribute to Nike's growth by defining and driving the strategic agenda for continuous transformation of Nike's capabilities for the North America supply chain to better serve our athletes and consumers. In our rapidly changing world you will help us raise the bar on Nike's end-to-end value chain expertise by working in close partnership with internal and external innovation leaders related to Sourcing, Manufacturing, Planning, Customer Service, Digital Operations and Logistics.

The Transition Manager will drive Transition Management principles and methodologies across medium to large regional or global initiatives. Align on best practices with other Transition Managers and stay abreast of external best practices through active participation in Global TM network and forums. Lead and develop training and materials to support Change and Transition and act as content provider for training materials related to transition management. Develop TM communication plan and materials for specific initiatives to generate momentum and raise awareness; compose and distribute timely communication. Act as an internal consultant on transition management strategy/deliverables for regional or global strategic change initiatives.


Qualifications
• 5+ years experience working with Change & Transition Management theory and methodologies in global project delivery

• Stakeholder assessment to identify level and areas of change from current state (key input to training)

• Act as an interface with cross functional groups to gather key inputs to develop a transition plan (implementation tasks, timeline, resources, etc.)

• Provide post implementation (go-live) support to the business and gather key learnings to drive continuous improvement

• Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.
• Help Program managers develop rigorous, locked down milestones & timelines
• Champion rigor testing on behalf of the executive sponsor and steering committee
• Regularly manage teams through process: assist with updates, challenge assumptions, enforce quality
• Guides others to resolve complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions
• Explains difficult concepts and inspires others to adopt a different point of view
• Makes decisions guided by policies in non-standard situations
• Manages projects or programs with moderate resource requirements, risk and/or complexity
• Monitors and controls costs of own work and may manage budgets for moderate-sized projects or programs
• Ensure transparency & integrity of impacts, leveraging HR, Finance and other shared services
• Prepare Portfolio status and help communicate updates to PMO manager
• Oversee tracking of ACE* Portfolio metrics/performance reporting
• Manage milestone progress, interdependencies and critical path across ACE* Pillars
• Develops and presents comprehensive program and high level project plans to executive leadership and project sponsors.

• Distribution center operational experience or manufacturing process experience

Educational Background
• BS of Industrial Engineering, Business or similar degree is preferred
