NIKE is committed to unleashing human potential through sport. As the Vendor Management Strategy Deployment Director for Procurement, based in Singapore, you will help deliver Material Excellence, which is essential to Product Excellence.

As the VM Strategy Deployment Director, you will be positioned as the strategic bridge between internal Nike stakeholders (Material Sourcing, Material Planning, Material Development, etc.) and the Asia Vendor Management team. You will provide critical insights between stakeholders and the Vendor Management team, to ensure aligned awareness, expectations, and execution. You will partner with stakeholders to ensure their programs, as well as Vendor Management teams supporting the programs, are set up for success in field deployment.

  • You will further define and deploy the Vendor Management Offense, by:
  • Helping to define and drive "next steps" in standing up the Vendor Management program, as well as driving consistency and optimization of the program as it matures
  • Engaging internal Nike stakeholders, to understand their strategies and priority initiatives and how those strategies/initiatives will impact Vendors
  • Ensuring consistent and effective deployment of WHQ strategies and priorities out to all field locations in region
  • Supporting Vendor Management team's engagement with Vendors, to ensure Vendors are strategically aligned against Nike's priorities and have capabilities required to execute against Nike's expectations
  • Supporting identification of capability gaps with Vendors, and determining appropriate levels and means of support to Vendors to address gaps
  • Ensuring effective communications to internal team members, stakeholders, and Vendors regarding program development, deployment and execution
  • Supporting connection into Tier 1, as well as alignment with Tier 1 strategies, as necessary to ensure E2E optimization  
  • Identifying and proliferating best practices to ensure that the Vendor Management team, as well as Vendors, make informed business decisions, maximize resources, and deliver sustained performance
  • Working with Insights data team to ensure effective use of available data, to develop standardized dashboards reflecting KPIs needed to regularly assess Vendors' performance
  • Being a team player able to navigate the Nike matrix and excel as a self-directed leader who delivers results 


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience; or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Cross-functional project/program management experience, with ability to lead projects with general management instinct across multiple functions / geographies
  • Curious, proactive, and with experience providing innovative ideas to solve problems
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to build consensus
  • Proven ability to tolerate ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment
  • Strong presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills, including development and delivery of presentations to senior leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated to deliver results
  • Ability to manage time and competing priorities in fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of and experience with data, reporting, analytics, and using information tools to simplify processes and improve decision making
  • Knowledge of Partner Management Offense objectives, processes, and tools preferred
  • Advanced skill with Excel and PPT preferred
