Lead Assortment Planner, SEA&I Indonesia

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

As an Assortment Planner, you will work closely with key stakeholders across Southeast Asia & India (SEA&I) from Business Planning, Sales, Marketing and Merchandising, to determine optimal style depth, maintain franchise health and achieve financial and retail goals.  You will also lead pre, in and post season assortment planning reviews and share consumer-led insights to shape future planning.  You will also work with Assortment Planning community on projects, assignments and deliverables, both within the Nike Direct Planning team and wider SEA&I Planning Team.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You will possess a comprehensive understanding of retail metrics, buying, forecasting, account management, and how they are used across functions to deliver profitable and sustainable growth for Nike. 

You will possess strong ability to interpret sales data to make decisions and recommendations that impact the business, as well as commercial acumen and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.  Strong communication skills are critical.  You should also possess these competencies: think strategically, cultivate innovation, foster effective teamwork, values differences, act with courage, achieve results and embrace & drives change.

  • Degree (e.g., Bachelor's) in Business or related field with minimum 6 years’ relevant retail experience in merchandise assortment planning/ business/ demand supply planning.

  • Strong ability to interpret and connect the dots from sell in, sell through to inventory and business implications, make recommendations, negotiate and influence decision making that will drive profitable and sustainable growth for Nike. This includes ability to build and understand Stock and Sales Plan (SSP), determine optimal style depth plans and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Strong cross-team collaboration, inspires high levels of engagement, trust and collaboration across a matrix environment with diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong influencing skills, ability to connect the dots, champion complex projects both cross functionally and vertically within the organization.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; proficiency in advanced Excel including creating spreadsheets, complex formulas, pivot tables, etc. Experience with planning software/tools and merchandise management systems is preferred.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will work with Business Planner, Nike Direct Sales, Merchandizing and Marketing teams to determine Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) count targets based on retail strategies and opportunities; ensure plan reconciles with top-line financial plan developed by the Business Planner to maximize consumer demand, drive profitable and sustainable growth for Nike.

  • Pre-Season: Create Open to Buy (OTB) investment plans by Franchise, Classification, Gender, incorporating impact from seasonal marketing stores, marketplace initiatives, key consumer moments, franchise health guidance and fleet movements. Work with Sales, Merchandizing, Sports Marketplace teams to forecast and manage allocations for Capacity Constrained, Intentionally Constrained and High-Heat/Launch Products.

  • In-Season: Provide on-going in-season recaps and analysis, identifying best and slow sellers, comparing versus forecast and prior year.  Monitor performance of key items and seasonal stories, taking actions to maximize revenue, margin, franchise health and inventory productivity and use learning to shape future buy recommendations.

  • Post-Season: Recap assortment performance including weekly sell though, color performance, SKU productivity.  Analyze and report performance of marketing and seasonal stories, proactively provide insights for future planning.

  • Drive and lead selected projects, assignments and/ or deliverables within Assortment Planning community.
