Nike is looking for a Senior Brand Protection Manager to help protect the Swoosh, our consumers, and the future of sport in Mainland China. Based at Nike China’s headquarters in Shanghai, this role reports to the GC Brand Protection Director and plays a key part in driving Nike’s brand protection strategy across the marketplace.
In this role, you will lead and support high-impact brand protection projects, working with investigators, outside counsel, law enforcement agencies and internal Nike teams to address infringement of Nike’s intellectual property rights. You will help shape enforcement strategy, assess evidence and legal risk, and move cases forward through administrative actions, criminal investigations and civil litigation.
This is a role for someone who brings curiosity, judgment and drive. You will connect brand protection with Legal, IP, marketplace, GPA and supply chain partners, turning intelligence, investigation findings and legal analysis into actions that protect Nike’s brands and support business growth.
Your accountabilities include:
- Create clear weekly and quarterly updates on significant Brand Protection actions for the GC BP Director.
- Explore new ways to measure the impact of BP work and bring results to life for the marketplace team.
- Use Nike and service provider databases to turn intelligence into actionable brand protection insights.
- Lead follow-up on cross-functional O2O investigations, enforcement actions and litigation-related requests.
- Support evidence review, legal analysis, case escalation and coordination with external counsel on key IP enforcement projects.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a strategic, hands-on Brand Protection leader who can move with speed, make sound decisions and bring teams together. You will lead GC marketplace enforcement initiatives, including market surveys and clean-up operations that support Nike’s brick-and-mortar business and strengthen protection across the marketplace.
The ideal candidate has a strong legal foundation, practical experience in IP enforcement or IP litigation, and the ability to manage complex investigations involving online-to-offline networks, multiple regions and fast-changing counterfeiting models. You are comfortable working with law enforcement, external counsel and cross-functional partners, and you know how to turn facts, evidence and legal judgment into clear recommendations and action.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will manage brand protection matters across Mainland China and help implement Nike’s BP strategy in line with global priorities and regional business needs. Your work will include investigation planning, enforcement execution, litigation support, external counsel management, evidence assessment and legal risk analysis for priority IP enforcement projects.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will work closely with Nike’s Legal, IP, marketplace and business teams, as well as investigators, service providers, law firms and law enforcement agencies. You will also partner with other territory BP Managers to share intelligence, align enforcement priorities and support coordinated action across markets.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in brand protection, IP enforcement, litigation support, legal, compliance or a related field.
- Legal background is required; a law degree or equivalent legal training is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience in intellectual property litigation, civil enforcement, criminal enforcement or administrative enforcement matters is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of anti-counterfeiting laws, IP enforcement procedures, evidence standards and law enforcement practices.
- Experience working with police, other investigative units, law firms, external counsel or global brand protection teams.
- Ability to analyze complex facts, assess legal and business risk, and make clear recommendations that support business goals.
- Strong project management, case management and presentation skills, with the ability to manage priorities and move work forward.
- Strong communication skills in written and spoken English, with the ability to influence, facilitate and negotiate effectively.
- High integrity, sound judgment and the ability to build trusted internal and external networks.
- A collaborative mindset, strong ownership and the energy to win as one team.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
