WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As a key member of the Footwear Innovation Operations team, you will report to the Director of Footwear Innovation Operations, acting as a thought partner to support product readiness of the footwear innovation portfolio. You will serve as the chief of staff to the Vice President of Underfoot Systems and Senior Director of Upperfoot systems, managing both portfolios while working with cross functional partners in Footwear Innovation Design, Future Product Creation, Uppers, and Manufacturing Capabilities both at World Headquarters and in Asia to ensure strategic product integration, readiness, and transition.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate is an expert in rapid translation of strategic initiatives to operational execution. They have demonstrated an ability to solve complex problems by proactively creating and implementing new processes. They are comfortable and proficient in influencing adoption of change across large teams to deliver a ground breaking portfolio with best in class methods. They possess leadership experience in mentoring teammates, supporting growth and acting as an expert in their area. Finally, they act as a consultant to the Innovation Footwear Leadership team, advising on complex operational matters.
The candidate will bring:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or similarly related engineering discipline. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
A minimum of 7 years directly relevant work experience
Excellent written and visual communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex situations to business partners across all organizational levels and functional backgrounds.
Experience as an expert operations resource to executive leaders
Demonstrated ability to work proactively and positively in an ambiguous environment while navigating complex corporate structures
Be an active and contributing member of an executive leadership team, facilitating conversations, acting as the operations lead, driving thoughtful conversations while ensuring execution on next steps and capturing key information.
Proven track record simplifying and solving complex business issues, using data to propose sound solutions.
Deep experience working in AIRTABLE, Miro, and Keynote and similar tools.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Strategic Operational Partnership
You will translate strategic ideas into operational processes using best in class procedures. You will act as a thought partner and provide strategic and operational support to executive level leaders.
Comfort in sharing, presenting, and owning the narrative for future operational implementations, influencing teams through persuasive and thoughtful story-telling.
Amplify the Portfolio
You will own the process that brings the systems portfolio to life, ensuring rigor and precision in the data, analysis, and reporting. You will ensure integration and annual planning alignment with the Footwear Innovation portfolio, working hand in hand with the Director of Footwear Innovation Operations.
Activate the Process
Own the application of the product readiness process across the Underfoot and Upperfoot Systems Footwear Innovation team, organizing the agenda and cadence for process check-ins with the executive leadership team.
Continuously evolve the product readiness process as aligned to current FW needs and AIC strategies
Support the creation and adherence to the Annual Operating Cadence in support of the Footwear Innovation Leadership Team and AIC Central Operations team
Facilitate Portfolio Curation and Decision Making via Data Driven Reporting and Analysis
In partnership with the AIC Central Operations function, create and maintain portfolio-level reporting that provides visibility, simplifies complexity, and enables sound decision making. Proactively and strategically solves Innovation wide system and data problems, proactively creating solutions that support multi-functional execution.
Support and evolve a strategic process for program-level data collection and customized portfolio reporting on program status and resourcing.
