Global grade 45
Principal, Nike Direct Trading & Business Execution Northern Europe
Bring the territory marketplace closer to the decisions shaping Nike Direct. You will connect Sport opportunities, seasonal planning and live performance—turning complex signals into clear priorities and action.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will partner with Territory and Retail leadership and work across Nike Direct teams spanning Stores, Digital and partner-led channels. You will also collaborate with colleagues across Sport, Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Location Planning, Retail Operations and other specialist teams.
This is a connector role: bringing together the right people, evidence and marketplace context to enable stronger decisions—without taking ownership away from the teams accountable for delivery.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will strengthen how marketplace insight moves through Nike Direct—from forward planning to in-season action and back into learning. You will:
Turn territory, consumer and marketplace signals into clear implications for Nike Direct and its Sport priorities.
Build an integrated view across Stores, Digital and partner-led channels while respecting their different data, rhythms and decision routes.
Shape seasonal plans by surfacing priority opportunities, readiness needs, risks, dependencies and trade-offs before commitments are locked.
Improve in-season decisions by separating meaningful marketplace signals from routine reporting and pairing them with commercial evidence.
Deliver decision-ready recommendations on what to accelerate, pause, invest in or deprioritize.
Coordinate actions, owners and timing, and follow decisions through to closure.
Turn hindsight and business outcomes into sharper plans, stronger learning loops and clearer capability priorities.
Contribute analysis, opportunity sizing and Nike Direct insight to longer-term marketplace development and mapping work.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a commercially curious, analytically sharp and highly collaborative leader who creates clarity from complexity and connects strategy to execution.
You can find the signal behind the data, add consumer and marketplace context, and make the commercial trade-offs clear. You are comfortable across multiple time horizons and can influence senior stakeholders through credibility, judgement and partnership.
Your background could be in planning, merchandising, retail, digital, marketplace, commercial strategy, analytics, consulting or business operations. We care more about the evidence you bring than a prescribed career path.
WHAT YOU BRING
Experience in a commercial, planning, marketplace, retail, digital, strategy, analytics or business operations environment.
Strong commercial and analytical judgement, including the ability to understand economic and downstream implications.
The ability to turn complex information into clear priorities, trade-offs and decision-ready recommendations.
Confidence influencing across functions and seniority levels without direct authority.
Clear, concise communication and the ability to adapt the message for different audiences.
Disciplined follow-through, including action tracking, feedback and learning.
Comfort operating through ambiguity, change and matrixed decision environments.
Understanding of consumer, marketplace and direct-to-consumer dynamics, or the learning agility to build this quickly in a comparable context.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Stronger seasonal plans informed by differentiated territory insight.
Earlier visibility of opportunities, readiness gaps, risks and dependencies.
Higher-quality in-season decisions supported by clear evidence and trade-offs.
Greater connection across Nike Direct channels without forcing a one-size-fits-all process.
Better follow-through and stronger learning from decisions already made.
THE SCOPE
This EMEA role sits within the Territory model and is centered on Nike Direct. Priorities will vary by marketplace scale, maturity, channel mix, partner landscape, available data and local rhythms. The purpose stays the same: connect insight, planning and execution so Nike Direct can act with greater clarity and discipline.
