WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will report to the Senior Director, Global Tax External Reporting and Compliance, and will manage external advisors hired to support global income tax reporting processes. While leading the income tax accounting and reporting processes, you will work cross-functionally with various stakeholders across Finance including Controlling, Investor Relations, Global Business Planning, Treasury and senior leadership. You will also partner with external/internal auditors to meet interim and year-end audit requirements.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Global Tax External Reporting function is responsible for complete, accurate and timely income tax accounting and reporting to better inform both internal and external stakeholders. As the Principal, Tax External Reporting, you will be responsible for managing the quarterly and annual income tax provision processes while serving as a key technical tax accounting leader in evaluating complex issues.
You will play a critical role in leveraging deep expertise of US GAAP income tax accounting to effectively evaluate financial results while applying tax technical concepts to determine the appropriate accounting and reporting of income taxes. This role requires a high degree of judgement, exceptional analytical rigor, accountability and cross-functional collaboration, along with the ability to influence across a complex global stakeholder landscape including Controlling, Treasury, Global Business Planning, Investor Relations and external advisors. The ability to synthesize complex tax issues, anticipate downstream implications and provide meaningful financial insights to stakeholders, including Finance leadership, will be critical to your success. You must be a self-starter who is comfortable operating in ambiguity and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master's Degree in Finance, Tax, Accounting, or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent preferred
- 8+ years of experience leading or supporting US GAAP Income Tax accounting and reporting at a large, multinational company or public accounting firm
- Working knowledge of US Taxation of International operations is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, SAP and SharePoint systems
- Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex issues, risks and opportunities to stakeholders and senior leadership
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and managing multiple, competing priorities and requests, while maintaining high standards for quality and attention to detail
- Proven track record in developing high-profile, influential, and collaborative cross-functional relationships

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
- Review of US GAAP income tax provision calculations, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial disclosures for all reporting cycles
- Support SOX controls for US GAAP income tax accounting processes
- Lead tax technical accounting analysis of complex issues through application of US GAAP accounting principles and relevant tax law
- Perform analysis of income tax impacts related to business changes, legislative or regulatory updates, controversy, and income tax planning
- Drive standardization, efficiency, and innovation throughout the income tax provision lifecycle through leading the Global Tax Accounting Center of Excellence
- Manage external advisors hired to support global income tax reporting processes
- Collaborate closely with Controlling, Investor Relations, Global Business Planning, and Treasury, as well as, with external and internal auditors to ensure complete, accurate and timely reporting of income taxes
- Support local statutory income tax reporting activities globally as needed
