WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will collaborate with product and E2E supply chain teams to identify key information about product to scope, assess, and determine root causes and corrective action for commercial product quality issues. As a champion of quality, the work you drive will provide insights and product quality metrics used to drive continuous improvement across Nike product creation and supply chain.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a skilled and motivated professional with strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with managing quality in a retail environment, have strong presentation skill, and a capacity to influence and collaborate effectively across teams. A high level of proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar is essential, alongside knowledge of working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet.
Key responsibilities will include leading quality issue investigations, reporting on project progress, and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
- A minimum of 3 years directly relevant work experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build personal relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills
- Experience with statistics, design of experiment (DOE), and quality management systems
- Strong prioritization, planning, reporting and organizational skills
- Demonstrate leadership and influencing abilities
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet skills
- Six Sigma training and /LEAN certification a definite plus
- Product Safety experience a plus
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As an integral part of Product Integrity, you’ll work on the issue management team to validate, scope, resolve and communicate commercial product quality issues at Nike. The ability to identify and problem-solve across Nike manufacturing & production operations is integral to prevent, identify, and resolve issues that have of impact to our product and our consumers.
- Responsible for handling quality issue investigations and non-conformance management for apparel, accessories, equipment and footwear
- Provide technical support for product engine groups by implementing Apparel Product Integrity (API) procedures and tools
- Provide formal, quantitative feedback to both internal Nike and external organizations to influence and drive decision-making and quality improvements
- Curate metrics and KPIs to support quarterly operations and business reviews
- Provide data reporting and automation solutions to support global business functions
- Design and develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for decision-making
- Work directly with Nike Stakeholders across Consumer Creation and Global Sourcing & Manufacturing to ensure perfect product is delivered to our athletes*
- With team, collaborate and drive issue management strategy, approach and execution
- Drive accountability throughout the E2E supply chain by identifying root cause of issues
- Collaborate with management team across the company to uphold quality standards and continuous improvement goals
- Work collaboratively with manufacturing system engineers, partner managers, and product creation teams to ensure finished good product quality meets Nike standards
- Work with Standards & Governance team to provide critical data on product and factory non-conformance to quality standards
- Facilitate understanding of product quality issues across departments
- Use fundamental engineering skills and knowledge of engineering tools to enable data-driven decision making, drawing on an understanding of manufacturing and product creation environments, including staying abreast of innovation and advancements related to manufacturing
- Responsible for writing, implementing, maintaining, and training teams on SOPs to support Nike’s Quality Issue Management System. Deliver training as needed and create a culture of quality within the team
