WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You’ll join the Global Controlling organization and report directly to the Global SG&A Accounting Director. As a Senior Accountant on the Global SG&A Accounting team, you’ll play a key role in executing critical monthly and quarterly close activities. This role is highly collaborative where you’ll work cross-functionally with teams across operations, finance, procurement, and legal to ensure accuracy and timeliness in SG&A reporting. In addition, you’ll partner with Finance Governance & Controls to design and implement best practices that strengthen compliance and optimize processes within the SG&A space. Your expertise will help drive consistency, efficiency, and operational excellence across global accounting functions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in public accounting, corporate accounting technical accounting or operational excellence, within a large, complex, multinational corporation and/or Public Accounting firm
  • Understanding and experience with US GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting
  • Proficiency with SAP ERP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint systems is a plus
  • Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and layers, preferably within a large complex corporation
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and managing multiple, competing priorities and requests, while maintaining high standards for quality and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate status, issues, and risks with senior leadership

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

A typical day/week will consist of regular engagement with business partners to understand SG&A initiatives so that you can apply that knowledge in preparation for period-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and analytic reviews. In addition, you will be responsible for:

  • Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual operating results.
  • Ensure policy and process governance with controls related to SG&A spend and accrued liabilities.
  • Proactive engagement with business partners to clearly and concisely communicate the financial implications of SG&A spend, including judgmental accounting conclusions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through collaboration with our managed service provider, finance and business partners to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes and financial reporting.
