WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will report to the Senior Director of Enterprise Business Planning (EBP) and work directly with Geo Sport Planning Senior Directors and Planners. You will collaborate with partners across Global Brand Assortment Planning, Business Planning, Merchandising, Finance, and EBP. You will work closely with our Territory and GEO Planning teams to drive alignment and consistency in approaches.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Senior Manager of Brand Assortment Planning to join our team. You possess a deep understanding of sport, assortment planning, product, and merchandising and are able to connect the dots to drive the right insights and recommendations. You are an excellent collaborator who proactively builds positive relationships across the organization with both upstream and downstream functions. You are highly adaptable, and can move with agility to meet the needs of the business
8+ years’ experience in retail or assortment planning
Strong ability to influence and work collaboratively with others by communicating effectively, including the ability to work across multiple different countries and cultures
Listens actively and contributes to advance the conversation
Outstanding written/verbal communication, analytical capabilities and attention to detail
Ability to understand the interaction between (and distinct value of) bottom-up assortment plans and top-down operating plans
Strong command of retail metrics including retail sales, AWST%, ARD, WOS, inventories (marketplace + DC), revenue and margin
Commercial and entrepreneurial approach
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will be responsible for leading the Brand Assortment Planning function within APLA Enterprise Business Planning. This involves directing the cross-sport marketplace offense for product-level forecasting in service of delivering strategic product and brand objectives. You will balance strategic vision with operational execution, ensuring clarity, consistency, and collaboration across multiple teams while partnering closely with Geo Sport Planning and Merchandising teams.
Own the reconciliation of the operational plan with the demand/assortment plan
Drive franchise management excellence across Sports and Territories through a disciplined franchise health forecasting and review process that provides clear guidance and guardrails
Manage product-level risks and opportunities by owning geo-wide insights and storytelling around product R&Os, tradeoffs, and required actions across key code and fiscal moments
Drive an assortment planning perspective against cross-sport business dimensions such as equipment, core, energy, etc.
Obsess assortment productivity through the lens of concepts, consumers, marketplace across pre and in-season
Serve as a subject matter expert for the future of assortment planning capabilities and ways of working
