WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Pacific Logistics Operations team powers the movement of Nike products across Australia and New Zealand, delivering seamless omnichannel supply chain solutions. Reporting to the Logistics Planning Manager, this role partners closely with Logistics Planning, Distribution Centre Operations, Inventory, Integrated Fulfilment Planning, Transport, Commercial, Technology, Marketplace teams, and third-party logistics providers to drive operational excellence.

Nike is looking for a Logistics Planning Specialist who combines operational discipline with a continuous improvement mindset. This individual is a collaborative problem solver who thrives in fast-paced distribution environments and can navigate complexity across multiple stakeholders. They bring a strong understanding of logistics and retail distribution operations, balancing day-to-day execution with long-term improvement opportunities. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, confident working with data and cost models, and skilled at influencing cross-functional partners to achieve shared outcomes. They are curious, adaptable, and committed to creating efficient, scalable solutions that improve service, reduce cost, and enhance performance across the supply chain. Above all, they champion teamwork, inclusion, and accountability while helping shape the future of Nike’s logistics operations.

  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, distribution operations, performance management, or cost management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution, Business, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
  • Experience working with third-party logistics providers across Australia and New Zealand and operating effectively within a matrix organisation.
  • Proficiency with SAP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and advanced Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management, process optimisation, cost modelling, operational reporting, and performance analysis.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will help drive the performance of Nike Pacific’s distribution network by connecting planning, inventory, transport, and operational execution. Working across internal teams and third-party partners, you will ensure products move efficiently through the supply chain while identifying opportunities to improve service, cost, and operational excellence.

  • Manage daily logistics planning activities across inbound, outbound, inventory, and transport operations to support service and performance objectives.
  • Partner with Distribution Centre Operations, Inventory, Integrated Fulfilment Planning, Transport, Commercial, Technology, and Marketplace teams to align execution with business priorities.
  • Build strong relationships with third-party logistics providers, fostering a One Team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Analyse operational performance through key performance indicators, reporting frameworks, and cost reviews, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support forecasting, labour planning, volume management, and capacity planning activities to ensure operational readiness and efficient resource allocation.
  • Represent the logistics function in operational reviews, cross-functional forums, and business planning discussions, providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Drive operational excellence initiatives through inventory control programmes, compliance monitoring, internal audits, and process improvement projects that enhance efficiency and reduce cost.
