WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON? 

As a Nike Direct Athlete, you are passionate about Nike products and services. You will demonstrate enthusiasm and eagerness to learn the fundamentals of all store Athlete roles, including but not limited to Service, Visual Presentation, and Stockroom. You will deliver the best possible service and attention to all consumers. Assist the team in executing all daily retail operations to ensure premium service and smooth store functioning. You will develop positive relationships with consumers and teammates and be an active member of the store community by attending and supporting store events. You will model reliability and flexibility by being able to work varied hours and days to meet the needs of the business. You will maintain knowledge of various store departments and be available to operate the cash register for regular transactions, perform shipping and receiving duties, stock the floor, perform cleaning duties, and build visual displays when necessary. 

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS 

High School/Secondary School Diploma or equivalent 2-year Degree 

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE 

  • At least I-year experience in Visual Merchandising — preferably apparel or lifestyle field. 

  • Visual Merchandising hands on training with large chain or National Retailer also preferred. 

MINIMUM SKILLS 

Technical: 

  • Ability to apply/interpret and implement the PP Guidelines 

  • Execute and maintain mannequin styling standards 

  • Proficient in written communication, ability to produce clear, professional, and extensive written direction. 

  • Basic computer knowledge and use of Power Point Presentations 

Communication/Language: 

  • Ability to communicate professionally with all internal and external teams. 

  • Negotiation skills are of a high level. Clear speaker and listener. 

Management/Leadership (if applicable): 

Ability to clearly explain tasks and train staff in the fundamentals of merchandising and display follow through and communicate challenges and identify solutions. 

Other: 

  • Organized and strong attention to detail. 

  • Creative problem solver with the ability to be able to prioritize workload. 

  • PHYSICAL & TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT: Specific tools, technologies, substances, hazards or protective equipment needed to perform the job and the approximate percentage of times spent on each. 

  • PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Incumbents generally must be able to, with or without accommodation, have the proficient use of both sensory perception/clarity and muscle control/coordination. This may include vision (near, far, colour, glare control), hearing (auditory attention, sound localization), speech, strength, agility, dexterity, flexibility, steadiness or reaction time. 

  • Lifting large and small packages sometimes into tight small spaces. 

  • Lots of bending. 

  • Carrying large stock piles across different spaces. 

  • Up and down ladders
