This role partners closely across Nike’s Costing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Partner Management teams, collaborating with Factory Partners and World Headquarters counterparts to drive value and elevate cost excellence. They work cross functionally to align on strategy, influence product decisions, and deliver rigorous, data driven outcomes.

Nike is seeking a Senior Cost and Standards Engineer who blends strategic thinking with deep technical expertise. They collaborate across Factory Partners, Developers, Costing, and the Dimension Team to evaluate cost structures, shape product decisions, and elevate margin performance. The ideal candidate communicates with clarity, influences diverse stakeholders, and brings a growth mindset to every challenge. They manage multiple priorities with precision, identify opportunities others might miss, and lead through expertise, insight, and partnership.

Additional requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, product development, costing, engineering, manufacturing, or related fields
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, or related field. 
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Proven ability to communicate technical topics to varied audiences
  • Open to work in Korea

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will shape costing strategies, guide decision making, and drive value creation across product, process, and manufacturing. You’ll partner closely with cross functional teams to validate cost breakdowns, support margin targets, and deliver cost excellence through the Nike Costing Framework.
In this role, you will:

  • Partner with Factory Partners, Engineering, Manufacturing, PMO (Partner Management Office), and product creation teams to drive aligned costing outcomes.
  • Lead cost optimization initiatives across creation and production, influencing decisions from early design through manufacturing.
  • Validate and analyze cost breakdowns—including materials, technology, labor, productivity, and FX—to support margin goals and FOB (Free on Board) negotiations.
  • Ensure accuracy of cost inputs through comprehensive validation of product costs and business operation costs.
  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to validate and evolve labor process standards, driving modernization and efficiency.
  • Contribute to developing new tools, processes, and methodologies that advance Nike’s Cost and Standards Engineering function.
  • Deliver insights, training, and strategic guidance to elevate cost capability across cross functional partners.
