WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As part of Nike’s APLA Kids Planning team, this role fuels the Apparel business by shaping financial plans, elevating insights, developing assortment planning team, and driving cross‑functional alignment. The Senior Manager reports to the APLA Director of Kids Planning and leads a team of planners while partnering closely with Merchandising, Brand, Operations, Nike Direct, Marketplace, Territory teams, and Global counterparts to deliver a unified, future‑focused plan.

The candidate will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Sales, Retail, Marketing or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
8+ years of retail planning experience across assortment and/or merchandise financial planning
Experience leading teams through coaching, accountability, and strengths-based development (People Manager)
Advanced Excel skills; strong fluency in retail math; deep understanding of consumer and marketplace trends
Proven ability to influence, communicate with clarity, and craft simple, insight-driven narratives grounded in data
Skilled in problem‑solving, critical thinking, and guiding executive decision-making with strategic analysis
Expertise in retail planning, financial planning and targeting, inventory management, and related operational disciplines; APLA or multi‑country experience preferred
Ability to work in Beaverton, OR
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You’ll set the direction for Kids Apparel planning across APLA—owning forecasts, elevating insights, and empowering your team to bring Nike’s vision to life. You’ll navigate complexity with confidence, lead cross‑functional alignment, and create plans that unlock long‑term growth.
Responsibilities Include:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of planners to deliver seasonal demand plans and inventory strategies for Kids Apparel in APLA
Own tops‑down forecasting, pre‑season target setting, and delivery of financial plans in key business forums
Report on business health, translate insights into action, and guide smart, data‑driven decisions across the portfolio
Partner with Merchandising, Brand, Operations, Nike Direct, Marketplace, and Territory teams to drive aligned, consumer‑right plans
Collaborate closely with Territory, Geo, and Global partners to optimize product lifecycle performance and ensure consistent communication across markets
Share best practices, elevate systems knowledge, and contribute to a team culture built on continuous learning and innovation
Strengthen cross-functional relationships to drive clarity, alignment, and long-term, brand-enhancing decisions
