Analyst II, Material Costing Global - Converse

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As an integral part of the material sourcing & manufacturing team, you will report into Manager, Material Costing Global. You will be partnering with functional team including material vendor management, material sourcing, material development, chemical engineering, material vendors, and footwear factory partners, as well as material subject matter experts to support tracking global commodity trend and building material cost breakdown. You will also support team for exploring value engineering opportunities and preparing cost negotiation tools as well as to support critical cost management processes & governance through new standardization and tools and manage seasonal cost with material suppliers.

We’re looking for a Analyst II, Material Costing Global – Converse within materials sourcing and manufacturing. The right candidate will bring motivation, engagement, and creativity to the team. Minimum 3 years of experience with material costing, finance, sourcing, manufacturing, operations, or supply chain.
Bachelor’s degree in material cost engineering or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge of footwear construction, material manufacturing, and costing preferred.
Experience developing and maintaining material/product data in an information management system.
Project management experience a plus.
Ability to exposure to raw material commodity markets and forecasting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred.
Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
Strong attention to detail and process orientation.
Team player, proactive, flexible and with a desire to learn and grow.
Ability to travel 5%.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As an integral part of the material sourcing & manufacturing team, you will be partnering with functional team and material subject matter experts to support material costing manager on tracking industry commodity trend, building material cost breakdown, exploring value engineering opportunities and preparing cost negotiation tools as well as managing seasonal cost.
You will be responsible for tracking global commodity markets and leading the seasonal material price negotiation.
You will support to build critical cost management processes and governance through new standardization and tools.
You will support to create material costing strategy and priorities.
You will drive or support material cost saving opportunities.
