As a member of the North America Middle Mile Trade & Transportation Inbound Operations Team you will constantly push for ways to make Nike’s supply chain faster, more efficient, and more responsive to Nike’s always-changing consumer needs.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
You will work with others inside the Trade and Transportation Organization as well as external partners. You will partner daily with our North America DC Bypass Partners and external transportations partners. You will also partner with our Origin/Air Freight/Ocean/3PL partners in First Mile.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Transportation Analyst will own the operations of international containers on inland moves for ocean shipments once at port in the US by tracking and tracing freight from discharge port to destination for both Nike Wholesale partners and Nike DCs. This includes, but is not limited to, analyzing transit times, working with internal partners to prioritize shipments correctly, working directly with Nike external transportation partners, and updating and maintaining SOPs and SLAs. This person is driven and works well in a collaborative setting, has a keen sense of urgency and pays attention to detail. This person can digest data and solve the root cause with a solution-based approach.
Bachelor’s degree in business, procurement, supply chain or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
2+ years related experience in supply chain or transportation
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Able to work with a sense of urgency and under pressure
Detail oriented and great teammate
Being a collaborative individual that promotes a positive teamwork environment
Strong analytical and data management experience.
Experience working in SAP, Excel, TMS systems
Experience working cross-functionally
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Supervise and Trace freight from port to end destination for all NA direct ocean containers via management and audit of track and trace events transmitted to Nike via EDI from external transportation partners
Identify Team Truck and Express Rail needs, based on need dates and cost
Update and maintain ETAs and other transportation KPIs
Clear and fact driven communication with external transportation carriers and internal Nike partners
Be the primary point of contact for our external carrier partners and manage their performance
Ensure financial targets are hit on a monthly/quarterly basis by partnering with external carrier partners and identify any risk to said target to internal Nike partners
Researching and driving resolution across teams for all operational exceptions including root cause analyses
Driving process improvements and partnering with teammates and other stakeholders to provide proficiencies
