WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

As part of the Technology Operations and Infrastructure team, you will partner with a broad range of business teams at our Boston headquarters to coordinate and run events, from team meetings to companywide brand moments requiring in person or hybrid audio and video support. You will partner closely with Boston based teams, including senior executives, communications, facilities, and external vendors for larger events. You will also work closely with the Nike AV team and third-party vendors on support and strategy to make sure Converse adheres to the latest AV standards and continues to innovate.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking an experienced and creative Audio-Visual Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and operation of video conferencing equipment in our meeting rooms, as well as providing technical support for corporate events, which can be hybrid or in-person. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of audio-visual technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about innovation, creativity, and delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Role is based at our Converse World Headquarters in Boston MA and requires to be onsite 4 days a week.
  • 2+ years of experience with audio visual technology, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of video conferencing equipment, including cameras, microphones, and control systems.
  • Experience with audio visual equipment, including projectors, screens, and sound systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment, as needed.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including off core business hours or occasionally off site as required.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will focus daily on a multitude of activities including equipment support and maintenance, plan and run events, and strategy work to ensure Converse keeps up with industry standards and innovation. We expect you to bring an initiative-taking attitude to anticipate issues, provide the highest level of partnership and exceptional customer support with the different teams and individuals you are working with at all levels of the company.

Some examples of activities and responsibilities include:

Audio Video Conferencing Equipment Maintenance and Support:

  • Install, configure, and maintain video conferencing equipment in meeting rooms, including cameras, microphones, speakers, and control systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates and equipment checks, to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with video conferencing equipment and resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Be proactive in identifying and resolving technical issues before they become major problems.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as IT and Facilities, to ensure that all technical issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

Events Planning and Execution:

  • Provide technical support for corporate events, which can be hybrid or in-person, including setting up and operating audio and video equipment.
  • Install and configure audio visual equipment, such as projectors, screens, and sound systems, to ensure high-quality presentations.
  • Facilitate video conferencing connections and webinars to ensure seamless communication between remote participants.
  • Collaborate with event organizers and third-party vendors to understand technical requirements and ensure that all necessary equipment is in place.
  • Operate audio visual equipment during events, including switching between presentations, adjusting audio levels, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Provide technical support to presenters and participants, as needed.
