DC Athlete I – Shipping Dept.

 Material Handling Associate Level 1

Brimley Distribution Centre: 260 Brimley Rd, Scarborough, Ontario, Canada M1M 3H8

Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

 

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

 

You will be working with a diverse group of operations associates focused on different Shipping functions. You will also be connecting regularly with internal customers inside both Outbound Processing and Planning Departments.

 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

Individuals with warehousing knowledge, capable of handling pallet loading and trailer loading functionalities. Individuals will also need to be well organized and good with number-based sortation systems and processes. Ability to work in collaborative groups and workspaces throughout the day will be necessary for success. Knowledge of computers/tech, and portable RF systems will also be needed throughout each shift. Specific focuses on:

 

  • Customer-based specifics and needs.
  • Heavy use of Microsoft Office based programs (Outlook, Excel).
  • Accuracy of orders and timely completion of repeated tasks.
  • Strict adherence to all Nike Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Continuous use of reporting tools and Microsoft Office based functionalities.
  • Ability to lift between 10-50 pounds repeatedly, standing for long periods of time.
  • Use of appropriate tools (knives, tape, pump truck, etc.).
  • Proper construction and securing of corrugate boxes to protect customer goods.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

 

You will be focused on a daily process determined by customer demand. All activity will be carton-based curation of loads for unique, changing customers on a day-to-day basis.

  • Shared duties amongst team members with cross-colbaoration to ensure 100% accuracy of all orders being directly loaded onto trailers.
  • Understanding the makeup of how each customers requirements are met. Unique pallet heights, wrapping techniques, Pallet organization and timely demands for quick turnaround.
  • You will be involved in fast-paced, quick decisions throughout your day. Attention to detail and execution of your own skillset will prove to be vitally important and beneficial to your success.
