The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,900.00 in our lowest geographic market to $316,000.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

EYBL BUSINESS DIRECTOR

EYBL (Elite Youth Basketball League) is the next growth engine for Nike Basketball. As we fast approach the next year of EYBL development, elevating and expanding the league will be critical to our success. The EYBL Business Director will lead EYBL cross-functionally, integrating across internal teams, external teams, and strategic plans. This role is pivotal in executing our bold ambition for the EYBL, focusing on governance, strategy, and operations. Reporting to the GM, NA Basketball, you will also work closely with the VP, Global Men’s Basketball and the broader Nike Basketball teams (Sports Marketing, Brand Marketing, Merchandising, Design, Planning across NA and Global). 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Director in Business who will work with Basketball Leadership in North America and Global to elevate and expand EYBL across Product, Brand, and Marketplace. The ideal candidate has a proven record of leading key business initiatives with clear results, developing and executing plans in highly matrixed environments, and has a strong leadership presence working cross-functionally. The capacity to deal with ambiguity and high resilience will be key to the success of this role.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

The ideal candidate has worked in the industry or has other relatable experience. 

  • 7+ years of league business management or equivalent experience
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
  • Proven ability to work with and lead teams across functions

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As our Director, EYBL Business you will lead the creation and execution of the integrated EYBL strategy. You will also be a thought partner to the Basketball Leadership Team when building and executing the broader Basketball Plans. The following are key responsibilities of this work:

  • Build actionable implementation roadmap to implement FY26 & FY27 priorities across boys' and girls' programs.
  • Design and implement governance model and infrastructure for EYBL, considering both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with Sports Marketing to execute on elevation and expansion initiatives, including implementing internal standards.
  • Review and baseline the current landscape across EYBL programs, including existing contract reviews and asset ownership.
  • Manage vendor agreements and, where necessary, renew or initiate RfPs in partnership with Basketball Sports Marketing.
  • Establish EYBL P/L and monthly financial processes, including monthly close and reviewing detailed budget breakdowns.
  • Support EYBL Brand Director’s implementation of short-term digital strategy and co-create the development of long-term strategy.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders (i.e., NBA, agencies, sponsors)
  • Partner with Global Basketball product teams to drive product integration and influence seasonal product roadmap.
  • Launch new, integrated product process in Spring/Summer 2026 with a full roll-out in FY27.
