WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will work closely with fellow merchants and cross-functional teams within Nike Direct, Consumer Merchandising, Planning, Allocation, and Brand Marketing. We also work with VMS, Stores Operations and the Planning team, relying on business reporting for your area, which includes quantitative and qualitative metrics on sales, inventory, and consumer behaviors.
You will report to the Sport Sr. Manager of Training & Accessories.

We’re looking for consumerists with an affinity for product, who enjoy the energy of moving at the pace of retail and the consumer! The successful Buyer II will thrive and contribute to a positive and progressive team dynamic.
This role supports building end-in-mind assortments for the Training Footwear Team, using historical data, analytics, and real-time market feedback to inform the future (coming seasons) while winning today (trading real-time).
The candidate should possess proven retail acumen and analytical abilities, an understanding of retail environments starting with digital and bring a consumerist perspective to the team and business!
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
2 years' experience in footwear or apparel buying and/or merchandising, product creation and/or retail in a vertical, multi-brand, or digital environment.
Understanding of common retail and/or digital profit-based metrics such as sell-through, turn, ASP, UPT, and others.
Strong affinity for current market trends in the footwear space.
Ability to contribute to and drive strategy into action.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As a Buyer II you will support franchise health across Training for Nike Stores, through effective assortments, buys, and trade decisions. You will understand related aspects of the business and marketplace when initiating seasonal work.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
Execute cross-team systems and deliverables by maintaining whiteboards, Recon and ensuring accuracy the TAT seasonally.
Partner with planning and allocation to ensure support of sport strategy, segmentation needs, and new store openings
Collaborate with cross-functional team (Planning, Allocation, VM & Retail Brand) to ensure end-in-mind execution.
Support the Sport team through weekly business review with reports and insights/actions when applicable to optimize business.
Inspire excellence through partnership and collaboration, managing and leading through change.
