WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
We’re looking for a Costing Coordinator to be an integral part of our Costing team, who is passionate about Nike and footwear. As a member of the Costing Team, you will work and drive our costing model that is transparent and fair with our manufacturing partners. You will need to navigate the NIKE matrix to ensure that our regional factories in Brazil and Argentina are in alignment with Nike’s standards for costing. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional PMO teams, Brazil and Argentina FTWR partners, NIKE LatAm and WHQ and Asia team members. This role reports to the Costing Manager in the region BR/ARG.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?
As our Costing Coordinator, you will be responsible for all the steps involved in product Costing from our partners to the distributors. You will be the primary contact with factory costing leadership on changes to key cost drivers. You will closely collaborate with both Nike internal and external stakeholders, including factory partners to understand, collect and evaluate the cost-related information, and then align standards & best practices.
- Work with Factory, Developers, Category Team, and Costing Team to interpret Cost Breakdowns and its impact on the total overall product cost.
- Provides and performs scenario analysis regarding Materials, component, technology, productivity, and foreign exchange changes to help the team achieve target cost per season according to the seasonal critical dates.
- Review historical information and models to prepare and present information to the costing counterparts to help establish product cost and factory negotiations
- Drive clarity & understanding around the components of product cost across Nike’s cross-functional stakeholders
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or Manufacturing
- A minimum experience of 3+ years in finance, cost or lean accounting.
- Experience and knowledge in Footwear Industrial Engineering, Costing, Product Construction, or production management preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English, Spanish is a plus.
- Strong analytical ability. Good workflow study and data management skills.
- A self-starter with ability to work well alone and meet deadlines. Willing to learn and with “can-do” attitude.
- Able to work using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and be results-oriented.
