The North America Trade and Customs (NATC) team is dedicated to delivering reliable, resilient and compliant trade excellence. You will collaborate with various Nike functions across the supply chain, Nike Inc. enterprise, and external business partners in service to athletes*.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As the Customs Export Specialist II – you will be responsible for Nike US export shipment operations and compliance. Able to disseminate and prioritize workflow requests from Nike’s internal and external partners. Meeting key deliverables, with a collaborative team focus, and a bias for action. The Customs Export Specialist II will help ignite our winning culture, ensuring operational excellence and elevate our high-performing championship team.

Qualifying factors

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in U.S. export or brokerage operations, customs compliance, supply chain, or a similar role in medium to large companies.

  • Subject matter competency of U.S. export regulations and international supply chain logistics.

  • Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs export documentation, and international shipping procedures.

  • Able to deliver presentations, facilitate meetings and communicate complex trade conditions concisely and comprehensively

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As the Customs Export Specialist II, you will play a vital role facilitating compliant, efficient, and timely delivery of products across the globe for athletes. You’ll contribute strategic solutions to manage and optimize export trade functions. You’ll operate Nike’s US export compliance taskforce, create customs documentation, and arrange global logistics to get Nike product to international sporting events serving global athletes. 

Preparation and review of export documentation—such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin—form a core part of the role.

  • Ensuring compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations (including EAR, ITAR, and evolving international trade laws and tariffs) will be critical.

  • Coordination and arrangement of international shipments to distributors, retailers, and athletes facilitate seamless product flow worldwide.

  • Tracking shipment progress demands collaboration with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners to meet delivery deadlines and swiftly resolve any delays.

  • Guidance on export regulations and documentation requirements is provided to Nike stakeholders to support compliant decision-making.

  • Ongoing monitoring and maintenance of accurate export reporting and records help uphold regulatory standards.

  • Supporting the NATC operations team involves fulfilling day-to-day business needs and driving special projects to completion.
