Material Handling Assoc. 1 Monday- Friday 3pm-11:30pm (Afternoon Shift) Processing Dept. Brimley Distribution Centre

 

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Material Handler will be responsible for the effective and efficient distribution of products and services to streamline inbound and processing flow.  Coordinate with the Point Guard daily to assist with the flow of work and requirements that is needed for the day. Training of new workers to the department.

 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

We are looking for a strong communicator who can bridge teams effectively. Quick thinker with problem-solving skills under pressure. Must be detailed oriented and organized to ensure efficiency. Material Handler who is team oriented but able to take initiative when needed.  Must be able to oversee the day-to- day under the direction of the Point Guard.

The ideal candidate will work autonomously within established procedures and practices, performing, and organizing the team's work based on leadership direction. They will promote a sense of urgency and accountability, ensuring that all team members are and adheres to safety and quality requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate processing equipment, scanner and other tools as required.

- Maintain accuracy in all inventory transactions and ensure products are handled with care.

- Meet daily processing goals while maintaining quality standards.

-Support team members and assist in other areas of the operation as needed.

-Maintain cleanliness and organization of the processing area.

Requirements:

- High School diploma or equivalent.

- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience preferred.

- Ability to lift, move, and handle products up to 50 lbs as required

-Strong attention to detail with ability to meet accuracy standards.

- Basic computer or RF scanner knowledge an asset.

- Identify and solve moderately complex problems

- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
