WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking an experienced Slotting and Capacity Coach to join our team at our Apparel Distribution Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing slotting and capacity planning to improve efficiency, productivity, and accuracy in our facility. The Slotting and Capacity Coach will utilize our slotting tool, aligned to Nike Logistic Systems (NLS) principles, to analyze data, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement changes to drive business results.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in slotting and capacity planning
Develop and implement strategies to optimize slotting and capacity planning, including re-slotting initiatives and capacity expansion plans
Collaborate with operations teams to identify and address capacity constraints and bottlenecks
Utilize the slotting tool to optimize slot assignments, minimize travel distances, and reduce picking errors
Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure slotting and capacity plans are aligned with business objectives and NLS principles
Provide training and coaching to operations teams on slotting and capacity planning best practices
Collaborate with inventory management teams to ensure accurate and timely inventory data is available to support slotting and capacity planning
WHAT YOU BRING
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or a related discipline and at least 3 years management experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment; or an additional 3years in lieu of a degree is preferred plus years of experience managing employees required
Working knowledge of automated distribution systems, departmental budgets, and basic PC Skills (including Excel, Word, SAP, WMS) is desirable
Experience with slotting tools and software is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and develop actionable recommendations
Excellent communication and coaching skills, with ability to train and influence operations and planning teams
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Familiarity with distribution center operations and processes is a plus
