We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer with a passion for Unreal Engine to help us build the next generation of our configurator and product visualization initiatives
As a Lead Software Engineer with Unreal Engine expertise, you will play a crucial role in driving the technical vision and strategy for our configurator and product visualization initiatives. You will work closely with our principal and lead engineers to optimize processes, generate proper unit tests, and ensure seamless data exchange between systems
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer with extensive experience in Unreal Engine and a strong background in working with web APIs and asynchronous code. You should have a deep understanding of 3D graphics and rendering techniques, as well as experience with software development best practices and version control systems.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
- 8+ years of professional experience in 3D pipeline development and tool creation.
- Proven experience leading software development teams and mentoring engineers.
- Expert-level knowledge of C++ and the Unreal Engine framework.
- Demonstrated experience in architecting complex software systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred:
- Extensive experience with CI/CD pipeline automation and various testing methodologies.
- A track record of shipping successful products in a leadership capacity.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As a Lead Software Engineer with Unreal Engine expertise, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance C++ code within the Unreal Engine environment. You will work on integrating web APIs, implementing and optimizing asynchronous code, and collaborating with our team to optimize processes and generate proper unit tests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of robust and scalable C++ systems within Unreal Engine.
- Architect and oversee the integration of web APIs and asynchronous code, establishing best practices for the team.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate product vision into a technical roadmap.
- Mentor and guide a team of C++ engineers, fostering a culture of high performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Lead code reviews and help to transition main classes into C++ to enhance overall efficiency and maintainability.
- Drive the strategy for our CI/CD pipeline, automated testing, and deployment processes.
