What are we looking for in an ideal candidate:

We are seeking a high performing Lead Software Engineer to play a meaningful role in the furthering Nike Greater China’s Commerce Capabilities.

The candidate needs to have experience and an understanding of contemporary development, testing, and observability techniques and tools in a DevOps environment.

A learning mindset, excellent coding skills, and strong written and verbal communication are essential.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Leads the design and development of a technical solution that meets the needs of the business and aligns with architectural and quality standards, and effectively integrates solutions delivered with adjacent and tertiary solutions/technologies.

Independently identifies, defines, directs, and performs analysis to resolve complex, first-time issues in his or her area(s) of expertise.

Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems, including coding, testing, debugging, and installing for a small- to mid-scale systems.

Ensures the effective performance of assigned product(s) and their integration with adjacent solutions/technologies.

Develops working knowledge of tertiary domains.

Qualifications:

• Fluent reading/writing in English, and excellent communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information sciences or related field
• 8+ years of backend programming experience in Java.   Solid understanding of the Java language, Spring and Spring Boot.
• Demonstrated delivery experience in a microservice architecture at scale. Experience with high concurreny system
• Deep understanding and practical application of modern build, continuous integration, and testing strategies
• Experience working in a cloud-based environment (e.g. Amazon EC2, Ali Cloud, Azure, etc.)
• Experience with asynchronized programming is a plus
