WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

In this role you’ll report to the VP, Jordan Footwear Product Creation and have multiple direct reports within the Footwear Development function.  As part of the Jordan Footwear Product Creation leadership team, you’ll work with our leaders (at PHK and Globally) across Engineering, Materials Development, Product Testing, Product Management, Sourcing, Design and our Factory Partners to ensure an aligned Jordan Kids & Core offense focused on team and product excellence.

This critical role serves the Jordan Kids & Core Footwear Product Development team. WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, business management or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training. 
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Product Creation, Manufacturing or related fields in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in footwear construction, material and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the year domestically and internationally
  • Familiarity with Nike CODE Calendar preferred
  • Experience delivering profitable product with high consumer value preferred

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As Senior Director of Development, you’ll lead the Footwear Development function for Jordan Kids & Core business to guide product excellence throughout the product creation lifecycle. You will shape product strategies, influence teams and product decisions, as well as drive cross-functional collaboration to balance critical dates, product specification, performance and profitability goals. The successful candidate will collaborate with Product leaders and work side-by-side with the Jordan Product Creation leadership team to ensure that our cross-functional teams work seamlessly to drive product excellence.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive elevated standards and product excellence with cross functional counterparts in Marketing, Design and Product Creation
  • Inform, drive, and facilitate decisions throughout the product creation process to maximize consumer value and craftsmanship
  • Strategically collaborate with Footwear Sourcing to ensure appropriate capabilities and resources required to manufacture exceptional product
  • Lead strategy, and functional excellence to support large scale growth
  • Attract, hire, develop and retain a world-class team of diverse talent.
  • Balance development resources to ensure capacity to execute seasonal footwear projects
  • Build relationships with Nike’s industry leading manufacturing partners
