The annual base salary for this position ranges from $166,100.00 in our lowest geographic market to $392,700.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

Nike Digital Product Design executes thoughtful design solutions for business and consumer problems at scale. We craft the overall form and function of our digital products — defining the user experiences and interfaces for Nike’s internal and consumer-facing experiences. 

 

 Who you will work with 

You’ll be part of the Digital Product Design Studio. We’re a team of UI/UX craftspeople, specializing in creative direction, motion, copywriting and prototyping – collectively responsible for elevating the quality and expression of Nike’s digital experiences. You’ll work closely and collaboratively with a cross-functional team of producers, product managers, engineers, researchers, marketers, designers, and UX writers. 

 

 Who we’re looking for 

As the head coach of the prototyping team, you lead the overall direction, strategy and management for a specialized team of creative technologists. You've built your career by blurring the lines between design and development. You blend aesthetic sensibility with technical skills – achieving interactive and technical breakthroughs while inspiring others through your vision and collaboration. You bring a wide array of expertise and a lot of curiosity. You have experience leading projects, teams and managing creative technologists. And as a leader, you know how to guide your team while nurturing their career development and personal growth. 

 

 What you bring 

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the digital product industry 

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in design or related field (UX/UI design, human-computer interaction, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Experience managing and growing careers for developers and/or designers 

  • Expertise, vision and taste to shape the implementation and feel of web and mobile experiences 

  • Expert understanding of front-end and mobile development technologies 

  • Strong knowledge of UI/UX design principles 

  • Enthusiastic and collaborative with cross-functional partners, building trusting relationships 

  • Can identify great experience design and provide meaningful critiques of discrepancies/opportunities in the team's work  

  • Ability to drive initiatives that substantially increase the team’s impact, influencing decisions and pursuing big ideas 

  • Able to clearly articulate vision and strategy to leadership 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with non technical stakeholders 

  • Passion for the Nike brand, sports and for creating high-quality work 

  • A lasting fascination with innovation, technology, digital tools and trends 

 

 

What you will work on 

You will lead a team of creative technologists that prototype new web and mobile app experiences that elevate the Nike brand and digital experiences. You will guide your team’s priorities and projects, while also nurturing their career development and personal growth. 

 

  • Leading the build of delightful experiences, features, user interactions and affordances 

  • Working on projects that encompass multiple broad and/or undefined features 

  • Leading the rapid iteration of coded prototypes – from initial briefing through concepting, refining and final delivery 

  • Managing, mentoring and providing helpful feedback to your team of creative technologists to uplevel their craft and skills 

  • Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies and guiding the team accordingly 

  • Evangelizing prototyping within Nike and driving initiatives that strengthen Nike's culture of innovation and experimentation
