As the Director of Account Management, East, you are responsible for developing, applying & overseeing the business activities for the account sales team (Men’s, Women’s and Kids). You are accountable for executing and analyzing business plans, budgets, and performance targets. Key will be working with senior sales management to develop, manage, and execute a strong account management strategies. You will propose and ensure the execution of policies, programs, and processes to achieve revenue targets, retail sales targets and strong brand positioning while contributing to commercial sales planning and decision-making.
Key Areas of Focus:
Account Management/Account Relationships:
Develop strong account relationships that lead to collaborative account management. Establish strong relationships with key customer employees including executives, buyers, etc. in order to influence and execute Nike’s account plans.
Strategic Planning:
Develop, apply, and oversee the strategic account strategy. Create and implement short and long-term business plans for achieving revenue growth and other financial targets. Lead and oversee the process for realistic and accurate scenario planning, forecasting, seasonal initiatives, business analysis, and new sales opportunities for the strategic account.
People Management:
Manage the account sales team. Accountable for hiring, developing, coaching, rewarding, and disciplining direct reports. Prepare and deliver quarterly performance and development reviews. Oversee direct report’s decisions on hiring, disciplinary action, performance management, and recognition and rewards. Resolve employee relation’s issues and promote diversity. Lead strategic Human Resource Planning (HRP) for the team and contribute to the broader regional and global HRP process.
Communication:
Communicate accounts business priorities throughout the region and the different functions. Communicate a clear vision that motivates and enables action from both sales but also from the other key stakeholders (from finance to merchandising). Ensure that the management team, staff, and appropriate Nike partners (product business units, finance, marketing, customer service, HR, etc.) are aligned and business plans are executed in coordination.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
• 8+ years' work experience in applicable field required
• Experience leading retail sales efforts for a channel required
• Expert understanding of retail and in-store environment required
• Account product distribution strategy experience strongly preferred
• Budget management experience required. People management experience preferred
• Ability to travel up to 40% may be required
