WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
The Global Distribution Director will lead Nike’s Global Distribution Partner Management within Supply Chain Flow - Distribution, reporting to the Senior Director SC Flow - Distribution. Managing a dedicated team of principals, leads and project managers the role will collaborate with procurement, finance, GEO operations, Global Places and Services, and performance & analytics teams, and partner with 3PL providers worldwide. This team drives strategic agility, performance excellence, and industry-leading distribution innovation through data-driven decisions and strong relationships.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a seasoned supply chain leader who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment and can build strong partnerships with third-party logistics providers and Nike Geography Operations teams. This individual combines strategic thinking with operational excellence, ensuring Nike’s distribution network remains agile and competitive. They are data-driven, collaborative, and adept at managing complex supplier relationships while driving performance improvements and leading change initiatives. The ideal candidate is comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, managing partner transitions and leveraging analytics to inform decisions. This role requires a balance of leadership, and technical expertise in global logistics.
The candidate needs to have:
10+ years of experience in global logistics, distribution operations, or supply chain leadership.
Proven ability to lead Partner service, financial management and performance governance.
Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and forward looking and action oriented use of performance dashboards.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Experience in change management and operational transitions.
A strategic approach to building competitive optionality in distribution networks.
Requirements:
Location: Open to work in Beaverton, OR, at our world headquarters.
Experience: Minimum 10+ years in global logistics, distribution operations, or supply chain leadership.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field; MBA optional.
Credentials: Professional certifications in supply chain or logistics (e.g., APICS CSCP, SRM, Lean Six Sigma) are a plus.
Physical Requirements: Ability to travel internationally up to 5% of the time.
Compliance: Must meet all local legal requirements for employment eligibility.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will lead Nike’s global distribution partner management function, ensuring strong partnerships with 3PL providers and driving operational excellence. You’ll shape strategy, manage performance, and lead transitions that keep Nike’s supply chain agile and competitive.
In this role, you will:
Work within the Supply Chain Flow & Distribution leadership teams, collaborating closely with procurement, finance, GEO operations, Global Places & Services (GPS) and performance & analytics teams to deliver strategic outcomes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Geography Operations teams and 3PL partners, acting as the point of escalation for long-standing operational issues and strategic problems.
Define and monitor KPIs for service, cost, and compliance, and lead governance routines to ensure accountability.
Drive exploration of 3PL financial models, service and cost, managing risk and ensuring seamless operational transitions.
Analyse operational data to identify trends, drive standard dashboards with Performance Management & Analytics and Tech functions, and help provide insights that inform competitive bidding, partner service and financial management.
Partner with procurement to create optionality in Nike’s distribution network and help execute competitive sourcing strategies.
Influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional projects that balance cost efficiency, service reliability, and strategic flexibility.
