WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
This role sits inside the Global Jordan Brand Creative Studio — a team that brings art direction, narrative, spatial design, and brand concepts together to shape the future of Jordan Brand storytelling. The Director reports to the Sr. Creative Director, Brand Design, Global Jordan, and operates at the center of a broad cross-functional ecosystem. This role partners deeply across Brand Experience, Creative Operations, Production, Art Direction, Narrative, Retail Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Global Marketplace — while also working in close alignment with Store Development, Real Estate, and other horizontal partners to bring concepts to life end-to-end. Success in this role requires the ability to lead across functions, align diverse stakeholders, and connect creative vision to the realities of physical space, business strategy, and global scale.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Jordan is looking for a bold, visionary leader who pushes the edges of retail design. Someone who sees stores as powerfully crafted experiences — part architecture, part emotion, part culture.
This person blends creative intuition with strategic clarity and elevates ideas into globally scalable concepts. They lead with conviction, guide teams with purpose, and operate seamlessly across creative and cross-functional partners to move work forward.
They bring a deep command of experiential design, a pulse on cultural and aesthetic trends, and the ability to craft environments that connect the brand to consumers in meaningful, modern ways. Just as important, they are an enterprise leader — able to navigate complexity, influence decisions, and build alignment across functions like Store Development, Real Estate, and Marketplace. They communicate with precision, collaborate naturally, and thrive inside a fast-moving, highly matrixed environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 10+ years of experience in Retail Design, Brand Experience, or Retail Experience for a major brand or agency
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Architecture, Visual Communication, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
• Demonstrated creative leadership in experiential or retail design
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence partners across Store Development, Real Estate, Marketplace, and Marketing
• Strong communication, presentation, and team leadership capabilities
• Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations and driving alignment across multiple stakeholders
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You’ll shape the future of Jordan Brand retail — turning strategy into immersive store experiences that inspire athletes and consumers around the world.
In this role, you will:
• Lead and inspire the Brand Experience, Store Design team with vision, clarity, and creative excellence
• Concept and deliver immersive, Jordan-only retail environments rooted in bold storytelling
• Drive horizontal collaboration across Brand Design, Marketing, Marketplace, Store Development, and Real Estate to translate strategy into executable, scalable environments
• Build strong cross-functional relationships that enable speed, alignment, and high-quality execution across seasonal and long-term initiatives
• Act as a connective leader between creative vision and physical delivery, ensuring design intent is realized through development and build
• Maintain a sharp awareness of retail design, basketball culture, fashion, art, architecture, sustainability, and emerging cultural trends
• Ensure the highest standards of creativity, quality, and consistency across all store design outputs
• Guide teams from concept through execution, ensuring ideas scale globally and resonate locally
