WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
In this role, you will operate in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, partnering with multiple global technology organizations across Nike, including FAST, Corporate Functions, and GaME. You will help support technology experiences for employees across both retail and corporate settings, while also collaborating with key vendors and leveraging vendor technologies that enable and enhance Nike’s end-user experience.
This role will report to the Senior Director, Enterprise Systems Core Engineering.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Nike is looking for a strategic and highly technical leader to serve as Director, Mobility & Mobile Release Engineering. In this role, you will lead the engineering strategy, operational excellence, and roadmap for Nike’s enterprise mobility ecosystem and mobile release delivery capabilities. You will shape how mobile experiences are built, secured, deployed, and supported across Apple and Android platforms, enabling reliable, scalable, and secure experiences for employees and critical business operations around the world.
This role is ideal for a leader who combines strong technical depth with organizational leadership, strategic thinking, and a passion for building platforms that empower others. You bring clarity in ambiguity, raise the bar for engineering excellence, and know how to build an environment where teams can deliver at scale while continuously improving how work gets done.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience leading engineering teams in enterprise mobility, endpoint management, mobile platform operations, or release engineering at scale. You are equally comfortable setting long-term strategy, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving execution through complex technical environments.
Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
9+ years of relevant experience with ppeople leadership experience, including 5+ years of directly managing and developing teams
Proven experience leading engineering organizations responsible for mobility, endpoint platforms, mobile application delivery, or related enterprise technology domains.
Strong knowledge of Apple and Android ecosystems, device lifecycle management, enterprise mobility architecture, and endpoint management practices.
Experience with release engineering disciplines including CI/CD practices, code signing, provisioning, deployment governance, phased rollouts, and production readiness.
Hands-on familiarity with enterprise mobility and endpoint management platforms such as JAMF Pro, JAMF Connect, Microsoft Intune, and Apple Business services.
Demonstrated success building and developing high-performing teams, including managers and senior engineers.
Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to align technical strategy to business outcomes.
Experience managing roadmaps, prioritization, vendor or platform decisions, and large-scale cross-functional delivery.
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting global enterprise environments with a mix of corporate, retail, and frontline device use cases.
Background modernizing mobility platforms, improving developer or release pipelines, and reducing operational complexity through automation.
Experience working in large-scale consumer, retail, or digital ecosystems where uptime, security, and speed of delivery are critical.
Familiarity with identity, security, compliance, and access patterns across enterprise device environments.
Passion for creating excellent end-user experiences through resilient platforms, disciplined engineering practices, and strong operational leadership.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As part of Enterprise Systems Core Engineering, you will define and execute a mobility and release engineering strategy that advances platform resilience, end-user experience, security, and delivery velocity. You will lead a multidisciplinary organization responsible for enterprise mobility, device platform engineering, endpoint management, and mobile release governance across a diverse portfolio of business-critical capabilities.
Lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution for Nike’s enterprise mobility and mobile release engineering capabilities.
Own the end-to-end delivery model for mobile application releases, including signing, provisioning, phased rollouts, deployment controls, and production readiness.
Drive engineering excellence across Apple and Android ecosystems, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable device experiences for global users.
Lead platform decisions and modernization efforts across endpoint management technologies such as JAMF, JAMF Connect, Intune, and Apple Business services.
Partner across engineering, product, security, infrastructure, and operations teams to improve release quality, deployment speed, and operational resilience.
Build and lead high-performing teams, develop leaders, and create a culture grounded in accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Translate business needs into prioritized engineering investments that improve user experience, reduce operational friction, and create measurable value for Nike.
Scope of Responsibility
You will lead and inspire a team of approximately 30 engineers and technical professionals responsible for the platforms, tools, and services that power enterprise mobility and mobile release operations. This includes ownership of key engineering domains such as:
Apple ecosystem engineering
macOS laptop platform support and lifecycle engineering
iOS device engineering for phones and iPads
Android device engineering
Retail mobile and self-service device platforms, including NPOS and kiosk environments
Nike Tools applications and enterprise mobile enablement
Mobile release and deployment engineering across retail, consumer, and corporate app portfolios
Unified endpoint management through platforms such as JAMF Pro, JAMF Connect, Intune, and Apple Business services
