WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
Join Nike’s Global Supply Chain Technology Organization as the Director of Engineering, Distribution Platform Engineering. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the engineering vision and roadmap for Nike’s global Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including Manhattan Active WM and custom services. You’ll shape the future of Nike’s distribution and transportation platforms, driving innovation, scalability, and resilience across our global supply chain.

Qualifications, Business and Team Leadership
- A master level of thinking in engineering.
- Multiple years leading diverse engineering teams, including multiple managers and squads.
- Several years of being a practitioner/ hands-on software engineering experience.
- Extensive and proven experience in management role planning, building, maintaining and managing technology and leading teams.
Business and Stakeholder Alignment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment with competing priorities
- Commitment to building strong, diverse global tech talent
- Collaborate effectively with culturally diverse and multiple stakeholder groups to define, align, communicate and deliver on commitments that drive value for the business, and celebrate cross functional wins and teams
Technical, Working Knowledge and Skills
- Deep expertise in WMS platforms (preferably Manhattan Active WM or WMoS) and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS)
- Experience with TMS (preferably Blue Yonder) preferred
- Proven success delivering cloud-native microservices and edge-facing applications
- Strong background in Agile, DevOps (CI/CD), and distributed/cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with Java, Node.js, or Scala; RESTful services; NoSQL (Cassandra, DynamoDB, MongoDB); and RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk, SignalFx, and New Relic
- Demonstrated ability to launch new microservices and manage legacy systems
- Proven experience building AI/ML-driven supply chain solutions
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
- Lead a multi-squad engineering team to deliver world-class supply chain solutions
- Define and execute the technology strategy for global inventory platforms, KPIs, and fitness functions
- Partner with product and business leaders to elevate Nike’s consumer fulfillment experience
- Champion cloud-native, decoupled, and edge-facing services with a focus on scalability and flexibility
- Drive flawless execution—on time and under budget—using data-driven iteration and agile methodologies
- Build and nurture high-performing, diverse engineering teams through servant leadership
- Represent Nike’s technology vision across internal and external forums
