Develops strategies and plans to promote products and services to individuals or other organizations. Supports business growth via creative development, market research, and disseminating materials that promote a favorable view of offerings.
Responsible for developing the programs that will maximize the brand's awareness and sales, through the message and media that are meaningful to retailers and consumers.
Typical Capabilities
Scope: Responsible for a discipline or major/multiple departments. Translates organization objectives into a clear team strategy. Sets and meets goals that can have far reaching impact on business segment.
Problem Solving: Problems are not clearly defined, and sufficient information may not be available. Occasionally, issues are complex where fundamental principles do not clearly apply or where data appears to conflict. Manages issues and resolves conflicts across cross functional teams, both internally and externally.
Leadership: Accountable for results which impact the entire business segment; is a functional budget holder. Maintains deliberate connections cross-functionally. Responsible for the development of a team of professional managers and experienced individual contributors. Responsible for talent management and may provide input into succession planning and segmentation activities. Responsible for performance management, pay, and resourcing decisions for direct and indirect reports.
Education Requirement
Bachelor’s degree required in the relevant or a related field, or any acceptable combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant or a related field.
