WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH

As a leader in the Technology Procurement team, they will report directly to the Senior Director. They will work closely with peers across the procurement team, stakeholders and leaders across multiple business lines in support of technology sourcing needs. This role provides the Director of Technology Procurement the opportunity to interact, present, and influence Nike senior leadership to gain support for key initiatives and strategies.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Director of Technology Procurement who will lead a team of dynamic, high performing sourcing professionals supporting Nike’s strategic technology initiatives. They’ll be a trusted member of a global team responsible for building trusting and meaningful relationships with senior executives across multiple business and services as well as technology functions. They must be able to drive stakeholder alignment with leadership across Nike functions and geographies. It is important they understand Nike’s business needs and leverage data and market research to determine and enable strategic objectives. Candidate must have the ability to perform deep market analytics and research to develop expertise across technology categories.

As a team leader, you will manage a team of both internal and external sourcing managers and category leads providing coaching and support team in the creation and delivery of category strategies, negotiation strategies and lead contract negotiations with the most strategic, complex suppliers.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, finance or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.

  • 10+ years of experience in technology procurement or sourcing technology software, hardware, and/or labor function

  • Work experience directly with Hardware, Software, Cloud/IaaS, and Security (HW and SW) sourcing including experience negotiating strategic multi-year contracts with Tier 1 Technology suppliers (examples include Microsoft, Salesforce, Adobe, Amazon, and others).

  • Experience working with technology VARs and utilizing catalogs and other forms of automation to simplify repetitive purchases

  • Activitively researches market trends and utilizes best practices to support sourcing activities

  • · Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive 2nd level insights from unstructured data

  • · Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret spend and cost data, including understanding of Total Cost of Ownership

  • · Experience using different negotiaton tactics; proven success negotiating multi-million dollar contracts

  • · Experience supporting legal teams in contract development activities, including knowledge of standard contract structures and key terms

  • · Expert at resource management; ability to oversee a distributed team of 5+ resources working on 100+ RFx/contracts at anytime

  • · Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including advanced level PowerPoint and Excel

  • · An ability to think Globally and work with an international culturally-diverse team

  • · Passion for the NIKE brand

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON

Nike Procurement Directors advise and support sourcing managers and category leads as they work with Nike’s business leaders during all phases of the planning and sourcing life-cycle. The Director will support the team across all facets, including category strategies, spend analysis, risk management, RFx creation and delivery, contracting, cost savings methodology, performance reporting, stakeholder engagement, and proficiency with technologies.
