WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a driven level 1 EHS Manager with a passion for logistics and wellbeing to guide the EHS team at Nike's European Logistics Campus (ELC). An EHS pioneer with exceptional social skills and who wants to share knowledge with passion. The suitable candidate is used to adapt to the needs of a rapidly changing logistics landscape. We have an exciting opportunity for an EHS Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Senior Director DC Operations, the EHS Manager will be responsible for developing an EHS strategy for distribution activities of Nike’s ELC.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
The EHS team is responsible for supporting the management in implementing and maintaining the health and safety measures. Your assignment is to lead a team of safety experts in the analysis and assessment of risks and to advise the organization. Through your support and guidance, you allow the team to grow in the contribution within the organization.
Together with your team you will (be):
- (Co)responsible for drawing up and following up the global prevention plan and the annual action plan.
- Monitoring the elaboration, programming, implementation and evaluation of the dynamic risk management system.
- Collaboration with the external environmental coordinator for the development and management of environmental permits.
- Coaching change processes in the organization and actively participating in change mechanisms in the context of "Management of Change".
- Detect hazards, carry out risk analyses and translate them into preventive measures and (corrective) actions.
- Investigate incidents/accidents, follow up and formulate advice to prevent them.
- Providing advice (solicited and unsolicited) on the organization of the workplace, the workstation and the work equipment.
- Handle new requests or changes in storage and transshipment of products.
- Follow up prevention legislation at work and convert it into practical advice.
- Follow-up of existing procedures and instructions, monitoring the implementation and execution of new or adapted procedures and instructions and formulating improvement proposals.
- Participate in safety studies and audits carried out by third parties.
- Participate in the reception, training and sensitization of all employees.
- (Co-)organizing training and strengthening the safety awareness of the employees.
- Make the preparations with your team and actively participate in the CPBW.
