Overview of the Job: The Assortment Planner II is responsible for the development of seasonal SKU-level assortment plans that are aligned with financial objectives and strategic business targets. This role requires the incumbent to lead comprehensive analyses, including style-level sell-through, to inform both current and future seasonal strategies. The position also entails the management of rolling forecasts for key models and franchises, ensuring that all plans are consistent with overarching business goals.

  • Pre-season
    • Participate in the review of new season products through internal downloads and CMP meetings; collaborate with sport planning, merchandising, and sales teams to ensure a balanced approach between business objectives and market dynamics.
    • Deliver a qualified SKU-level assortment plan by door clusters based on APS, selling weeks and sell-thru forecast, align key style depth planning methodology internally, check SKU count compared with last season/ last year to clarify the changes and influence the planning.
    • Drive sport business review, summarize highlights and learnings, define risks and opportunities. Align planning guiding principle with X-function team
    • Build distinguishes assortment plan for concept and top doors to fulfill specific consumer needs
    • Build/refine a style-level plan to color based on marketplace strategies and opportunities; ensure plan reconciles with top-line financial plan developed by the business planning.

  • In-season
    • Lead in-season analyses, focusing on SKU-level sell-through to influence both current and future seasonal planning.
    • Recommend actions to cross function partner based on sales performance
    • Track sales for key models and franchises, disseminate marketplace insights, in-season and off-season performance, MD% and ST%, and guide future sales forecasts through rolling ladder plans.

  • Post-season
    • Conduct post-season reviews, including sell-through, color performance, and SKU productivity.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to key stakeholders Merchandising/Sales/Sport planning for future season planning
    • Recap performance of key retail moments to provide insights into future planning

Job Qualifications:

  • Buying, Planning, Assortment Planning experience with footwear or apparel sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of retail mathematics.
  • Proficiency in report creation, style-level sales planning, promotional calendar/event tracking, and pre-meeting preparation.
  • Strong and demonstrated skills to effectively communicate and influence others
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, with expertise in Excel (including spreadsheet creation, complex formulas, and pivot tables).
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple business functions

Proven team player, capable of collaborating with cross-functional partners and senior management across all aspects of the business.
