WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Director to lead the Upper Materials Supply Management team in Taiwan. This role owns strategic supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with Nike standards, driving on-time delivery, and delivering product excellence at the right cost for athletes and consumers. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can balance strategy and execution—aligning teams, building trust-based partnerships, and enabling delivery against PSC material priorities.

The ideal candidate has experience in materials and, ideally, product creation, and thrives in complex, matrixed environments. Demonstrate a proven ability to influence across teams and stakeholders. This leader is passionate about developing talent, fostering a healthy team culture, and driving clarity and alignment across diverse partners.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Leadership & Team Health

  • Lead the Taiwan Upper Materials Supply Management Leadership Team, driving alignment, clarity, and effectiveness
  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative culture grounded in trust and accountability
  • Partner with the Taiwan Materials Leadership Team to drive overall team health, engagement, and effectiveness

Cross Functional Alignment

  • Partner closely with Underfoot Materials team
  • Represent Materials on PSC Leadership Team forums, shaping priorities and driving alignment
  • Ensure consistent connection across PSC Material team, Product Creation and Material Suppliers to support readiness and execution
  • Influence decisions through strong partnership, credibility, and clear communication

Partner Relationship Leadership

  • Build and sustain strong, trust-based partnerships with material suppliers, while driving performance 
  • Foster open, honest dialogue to navigate complexity and drive aligned outcomes
  • Ensure issues are surfaced early and resolved effectively

Team Development & Capability Building

  • Mentor and develop SM team members, building a strong pipeline of future leaders
  • Empower team members to lead critical programs with clear ownership and accountability
  • Provide coaching that strengthens leadership capability and decision-making
  • Create tools and frameworks to help teams set expectations and navigate tradeoffs

WHO YOU ARE

  • High communication and influencing skills, including the ability to interact with leadership and cross-functional product creation team members
  • Knowledge of footwear material types including fibers, yarns, textiles, leathers, synthetic leathers, manufacturing technologies and equipment
  • Strong ability to lead teams and influence in a matrixed organization
  • Effective relationship builder with the ability to partner across internal teams and external partners
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving alignment across diverse stakeholders
  • Clear communicator who builds trust and shared understanding
  • Passionate about developing teams and fostering a positive, high-performing culture
