Facility Maintenance (FM) Athlete II
Shift: Tuesday- Friday 6am-4:30pm
Starting Pay: $34.50 per hour
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As a FM Athlete II (Maintenance Point Guard), you are responsible for responding to malfunctioning or failing equipment, performing structured troubleshooting, and completing repairs to safely and quickly return assets to service. This role operates in a climate‑controlled distribution center environment where safety, reliability, and disciplined execution of fundamentals are non‑negotiable.
You are expected to bring hands‑on technical experience across core building systems and material‑handling support equipment, and to apply that experience consistently through preventative maintenance, first‑pass repair, and clean documentation.

Facility Maintenance Athletes are responsible for doing the work right, every time, with a strong focus on:

RESPONSIBILITIES
- PM Excellence
- Execute PMs as written and on time; identify and flag gaps, failures, or unclear standards
- Focus on quality of PM execution, not just completion
- Perform PMs across mechanical, electrical, and building systems within assigned scope
- First Pass Repair & Response
- Respond to work orders quickly and safely
- Troubleshoot issues using standard methods and return assets to service with first pass quality
- Escalate complex or unsafe conditions appropriately
- Core Technical Scope (Hands On Experience Expected)
Athletes in this role are expected to have practical, working experience performing maintenance and repairs on:
- Plumbing systems (fixtures, valves, basic piping repairs)
- Electrical systems (basic troubleshooting, components, controls support)
- Air compressors and compressed air systems
- Fire protection systems, including:
- Fire doors
- Fire alarms (basic awareness, inspection support, issue identification)
- Dock equipment, including dock doors and associated hardware
- Mechanical components, including sprockets, chains, gears, and related drive systems
This experience should enable the Athlete to safely diagnose issues, perform standard repairs, and recognize when escalation is required.
- Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Discipline
- Accurately document work performed, parts used, and failure symptoms in CMMS (e.g. eMaint)
- Close work orders same shift whenever possible
- Provide clear, useful notes that support trend analysis and continuous improvement
- Safety
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE), lock out tag out (LOTO), and lift equipment correctly every time
- Stop work and escalate unsafe conditions immediately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard free work area
- Shift Readiness & Handoffs
- Leave equipment, tools, and work areas ready for the next shift
- Clearly communicate incomplete work, risks, and follow ups during shift handoffs

WHAT YOU BRING
- Minimum of 2 years of facility maintenance experience in a distribution center or manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated hands‑on experience supporting plumbing, electrical, compressed air, fire protection, dock equipment, and mechanical drive systems
- Working knowledge of proper lift techniques and safe operation of powered and non‑powered material handling equipment, including man‑lifts
- Experience using powered and non‑powered hand tools, including cut and weld equipment
- Demonstrated understanding and consistent use of proper PPE and safe work practices
