WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will report to the Footwear Material Costing Director, while working closely with Material Sourcing, Planning, Finance and Product Manager teams. You will connect with Material Developers, Chemical Engineers, external Suppliers, and Factory Partners to understand manufacturing processes and associated sustainability initiatives. In your role, you will serve as a key contact for footwear material specific costing trends, strategies and metrics.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for an innovative individual capable of identifying, crafting, and approaching material costing through an enterprise lens, while also effectively communicating with global teammates, working cross-culturally and valuing differences. The ideal candidate will bring a curious mindset, proactive approach, and a critical focus on cost transparency. The candidate needs to be organized, detail oriented, and thrive in problem solving environments.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, procurement, supply chain or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in material costing/finance or 6+ years in sourcing, manufacturing, operations, or supply chain; leadership experience is a plus.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with footwear construction, material manufacturing, and costing is preferred, along with exposure to raw material commodity markets and forecasting.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with outstanding interpersonal abilities for cross-functional collaboration.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint; experience with information management systems for maintaining material/product data.

  • Work Attributes: Strong attention to detail, process orientation, and the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment; team player with a proactive and flexible attitude. Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and belonging, with a willingness to travel up to 5%.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As an integral part of the Footwear Material Costing team, you will lead and partner with functional subject matter experts to research industry commodity variables, develop actionable should-cost-models, and translate macro raw material trends into finished material cost expectations. You will be responsible for monitoring global commodity markets, identify value engineering insights, and inform supply chain cost negotiations and planning strategies. You will help establish critical cost management processes and governance through key standardization and financial practices.
